Mumbai: This one's come as a big surprise, especially because it involves Kareena Kapoor. The feisty girl, who's never worried about calling a spade a spade, has not really been know for her friendly skills especially when rival actresses are involved.

Some of her fights (the one with Bipasha Basu during the making of Ajnabi comes to mind first) have made juicy controversies. While Kareena is known to be close to Amrita Arora (but let's be honest, she is hardly competition!), it's perhaps Kareena's no-nonsense attitude that has kept a few of her female colleagues away from her.

But Kareena has made an exception this time for Katrina Kaif. The two girls might seem as different as fire and water at the outset, but they have formed a mutual admiration society which is rather rare amongst rival actresses in B-town. And yes, both have another thing in common.

They both think most other actresses can be looked at only as rivals. Katrina also has another favourite, Preity Zinta.

"Kareena and Preity give such positive vibes. I think it's totally important for a healthy working atmosphere and one can work productively if your colleagues are secure and don't act like rivals. Anyway, I don't let people's behaviour affect me much because I realise that an actress has a limited time here and one has to focus on one's career as much as possible. If I feel hurt by something, I don't react; I just try and ignore it. That's the only way I can save myself from being confused about people's reactions towards me."

Kareena obviously is more than flattered with Katrina's trust in her. She says, "I am often shocked at the way people change colours after some time. I don't know how they do it. They speak such lies that I don't know how they sleep at night. I now have stopped listening to a lot of people. I like Katrina because she is an extremely sorted girl. What she has achieved is completely on her own and she's believed in herself."
