Chhoti Bahu ... Sindoor Bin Suhaagan - Update March 13th 2009
Part 1:
Show starts with Radhika and Dev on the phone. Radhika looks scared and confused but tells Dev: Main Radhika hoon (I am Radhika) and then starts crying and says Vishaka ki Behen (I am Vishaka's sister). Dev looks confused but tells her that for a moment, he got her confused with someone else since her voice matches someone he knows. Radhika then tells him you want to talk to Shastriji, I will call him. But Dev says no, can I talk to you for some more time since we never met or talked before. Dev says since you are Vishaka's sister, we also have a relation. Radhika says yes, we can talk some more.
Dev then tells her you also must have noticed that we haven't been able to meet for so long, either you don't want to meet me or god doesn't want us to meet. I have only heard your voice, never seen your face. Radhika continues to cry. He also tells her that sometimes people meet but we would never know their name.Then Radhika hears Amma's voice in the background and quickly says she needs to leave and puts down the phone. Dev is surprised that Radhika abruptly put down the phone. Amma in the meantime walks around talking of a calamity that will befall their family and then looks angrily at Radhika.
Dev then asks himself what is going on with him, when he decided to forget everything why does he keep projecting someone else's voice as someone's elses (as in Radhika). He says this is wrong and that if he becomes weak, he will break his promise to himself. Radhika on the other hand looks at the phone and says- Main kitna unse dur bhagna chahti hoon, utna hi woh mere paas chale aate hain (how much ever i try and run away from him, he comes that much closer to me). She asks herself why this is happening to her and then lifts the phone by her chin and starts crying.Flash back to the payal falling down in the temple and a song.
In Delhi, Vishaka is getting ready to serve breakfast to Dev and complains why in spite of so many servants, all work is coming to her and wonders if Dev told her parents about them going to America. She says to herself she doesn't think going to America will be a good idea.
Part 2:
Vishaka is hoping that Shastriji would have convinced Dev not to leave for America. Just then Dev walks down the stairs still looking confused. Vishaka then asks him twice if he called Vrindavan to speak to her parents. He says yes, then Vishaka asks him if he told her parents already, he says no. Vishaka then gets angry and says I knew you wouldn't tell them, you are stubborn and not bothered about others feelings, but then Dev tells her that he called but he wasn't able to talk to anyone (He clearly lied here!). Vishaka then wonders where her family keeps going during the day. Dev then tells her he will try again and Vishaka says please tell them today itself.
Meanwhile in Vrindavan, Shastriji asks Radhika if it was anyone's phone. Radhika says NO(she clearly is lying as well but maybe so that she doesn't get into trouble). Shastriji then tells Radhika to get ready to go to the temple. Amma then asks Shastriji what is the use of her coming, so much work is left at home but Shastriji tells Amma that he knows all the work is over. Shastriji also tells Devki to get ready, Radhika is still hesitating but Shastriji tells her she will get lonely at home so to get ready since she likes the temple so much.
In Delhi, Purohitji has called some people to distribute jewelry and some other stuff but while getting ready to distribute, he looks like he will fall so Dev goes and catches him. Purohitji asks Dev to leave him since now he has to take care of himself and that it is better to get used to being alone. Dev looks sad. Purohitji moves forward to distribute again but almost falls this time, Mama's son goes and catches him and Purohitji asks Mama's son to distribute the stuff. Mama then tells Purohitji that his son(Mama's) is no good, but Purohitji says that he is trying to improve himself and we should all give him a chance. Mama looks happy and so does Mrinalini.
Part 3:
Shastriji, Amma, Devki & Radhika are all at the temple.
While there, Radhika sees Keshav(the rejected groom), he seems angry but she stops him and says she wants to apologise for what happened and for making his family unhappy and for insulting them. She says that if she would have married him, it would have been dhokha(betrayal), but then Keshav asks her if is it because she is married. Keshav asks her if she realized she was married(he thinks to Kanha) only at the mandap and Radhika replies yes, that time I was in a bad situation and only in front of the holy fire did I realize by mind and soul belongs to someone else. Radhika then asks Keshav knowing all this, would it have been fair if I had still married you and would I be able to fulfill the marriage? Keshav then tells her I can see the truth on your face and so I understand and am not angry with you anymore. He then tells her to take care of herself and leaves. Radhika seems happy.
Radhika then sees the village people talking about her sindoor and pointing towards her. Just then Aarti begins and everyone starts praying, someone goes and tells the head priest about Radhika's sindoor. The priest takes Shastriji and everyone present to where Radhika is (She is outside since she is not allowed inside the temple) and asks Shastriji why she is wearing sindoor when everyone knows she is unmarried. Shastriji then tells everyone that she has accepted Kanha/Lord Krishna as her husband and he request everyone to accept it. The priest then says that Radhika isn't even allowed inside the temple, who allowed her/gave her permission to call herself Kanha's wife. Amma and Devki look on. Shastriji then says in the eyes of the world she might not be married but she has been brought up with our family's values and if she wants to live her life as Kanha's wife, please allow her to live. The priest says if you don't stop this madness then we will, Radhika has the choice to either remove the sindoor or leave Vrindavan. The entire village and the priest then erupts in a chorus that she has to either remove her sindoor or leave Vrindavan. Radhika looks upset.
