Beef up security for IPL, says Shilpa

Jaipur: IPL franchise Rajasthan Royal's stake holder and new brand ambassador Shilpa Shetty on Wednesday said that security measures should be tightened for the proper conduct of next month's Indian Premier League.

"I am trying to be very positive. I think we all should fight terrorism instead of cowing down before it. Sports is something which has great spirit. The only thing IPL wants at this point of time is beefed up security," Shilpa said on the sidelines of the promotional video shoot in Jaipur.

"It's a very sad day for us. Something very unfortunate happened. I really empathise with the cricketers who have suffered," she added.
