Ayesha Azmi nee Takia - Ayesha Takia, who got married to Farhan Azmi, is very clear that she will adopt her husband's second name.
Ayesha and Farhan tied the knot on March 1, 2009 at Koyla, a restaurant in Colaba owned by Farhan. The nikah was performed at 9.30 p.m.
Ayesha looked stunning in her wedding finery with her head covered with a dupatta. An elated Faridah, Ayesha's mother, said, "This is the first time in her life that she did that.
Actually, Ayesha is not used to wearing traditional clothes. She generally wears western outfits.
But she looked very cute." Now that she is married will she wear traditional outfits or will she continue to wear western outfits? "Of course, she will continue to wear western dresses," Faridah shot back.
Was Ayesha's family wary in the initial stages of her courtship with Farhan? "Not at all. Ayesha's parents took an instant liking to Farhan. He is like a son to them," the friend said.
Faridah added, "I wouldn't have let Ayesha marry anybody else. Farhan is so nice."
Will Ayesha continue to work, Faridah said, "She is not an ambitious girl. She is a very family person. Frankly, it's too early for her to take a call."
