Traditionally in a family one parent is the disciplinarian. More often than not it has been the father but it can also be the mother. With the absences of Nahar and Brijesh - SP clearly shows there are no disciplinarian as well as no father-figure. Amrit and Dheer are no Nahar and Brijesh. Eshaan is a representation of Dheer parenting while Nahar, Pia and Aditi are representations of Brijesh's parenting skills.
The father is an integral part of the family. Traditional family values have always maintained this and few would doubt that a father figure is a positive thing for children.
Discipline (or training) might simply be defined as a process to help children learn appropriate behaviours and make good choices.
Through proper discipline, children learn how to function in a family and society that is full of boundaries, rules, and laws by which we all must abide. With it, children gain a sense of security, protection, and often feel accomplishment. Without proper discipline, children are at risk for a variety of behavioral and emotional problems. This is clearly demonstrated by the SP youngsters.
Parents cannot flip-flop when children try to bargain or negotiate - and they will. Children will test us to see if we will give in to their persuasive pleas (no matter their age). A number of incidences have shown the use of bribery by Saloni, Tara and Bhaboo to get the youngsters to do what they want. In the case of Samar who could not control Kaveri is clearly showing his daughter Kamini is going to follow her mother and walk all over Nikita unless some-one steps in and discipline her.
