Ok, initially I was '😲, the hug was just a dream?' but the way you continued depicting Nikki's feelings and her out pouring them to BR was just touching.

I have to say that I love the analogies you use, they really help me to understand everything in their full depths.

Looking forward to see how Yudi confesses to Rani and her take on it all. Also very curious to know what Saksham found that's made him see hope again.

Saksh was Ecstatic, seeing the remnant of his memory. Overjoyed seeing the part of his memory at the exact place where he always intended that it should be. He was delighted seeing one of the bangles from the many he gave to Nikki, long time ago when they were kids. He could not forget that bangle because that was the only thing so far he remembered that he gifted her from his own pocket money and after that he never get chance to give her anything.

So many thoughts rushed to his mind. In that fraction of moment his heart and mind went through the rollercoaster's of many different emotions. He felt delighted, shocked, bewildered and at the end he felt crestfallen thinking why this bangle was on bed? Was Nikki thinking about him? That thought gave him unknown happiness, current pass through his body and that current has melodiously vibrated few threads of his heart. However, he was despondent thinking that, this bangle must be the reason behind Nikki's misery. This thought gave shock to him and immediately he felt that some threads had been broken and suddenly that melodious tune seemed like heart aching noise.

Unable to short out overflowing thoughts and emotions, he held that bangle very tight in his hand and brought near his chest and closed his eyes. "Jaise oos chudi main kahi Nikki ki dhadkan basi ho aur oose woh mahesoos kar ne ki koshish kar raha ho."

Suddenly he realised his surrounding, where those technician were arranging things. He did not want to look like a fool in front of them so he moved towards the other part of the room, near window. He saw glass was shattered in small pieces near window, same way his thoughts have been shattered right now.

He tried to compose his heart, body and emotions. This single bangle had pulled him into the sea of memories and he had started floating with those memories. He still remembered that incident that took place on that day in fair and this bangle. How could he forget this bangle, because of these bangles he witnessed joy and happiness on nikki's face that day. He remembered the entire situation took place on that day and the way Nikki asked him about those bangles and he cooked those stories that bangles are like friends. He was ecstatic seeing Nikki's curiosity while listening that description about bangles. He still remembered those words............he told about single bangle…….." agar ek chudi haath main hoti hain woh jaise bilkul akeli….jiskaa naa koi saathi hota hain naa koi sangaathi, bilkul tanhaa….na koi pyaar karne waalaa naa koi jise woh khud pyaar kar paaye…..apni dil ki baat bataa paaye…apni khushi yaa gam baat paaye….bas ek aise darwaaje pe khadi intazaar karti jiske intzaar ka koi ant naa ho….."

He was expressing his own feelings that time, it was very true but right now he felt sharp pain in his heart because he realised nikki's life was like that………."

Suddenly while admiring those bangles his mind started to process all the thoughts. Why this bangle was on the bed? Was Nikki trying to find solitude in the solace of his memory? Was she thinking about him through out the night? What had happened that had disturbed Nikki? Something might have happen during night and that might have tormented Nikki. It was not coincident that this bangle was on bed, must be Nikki had taken out all the bangles and without her knowledge this bangle might have slipped under cushion. But why did she take out these bangles? The simple reason was she was missing him and somewhere deep down her she wanted to be with him. The thought gave him jitters; he felt blood rushing in his vain very fast.

What was the reason he did not know but the only thing he understood was in her suffering she was thinking about him. He closed his eyes with satisfaction and the same moment he remembered Nikki's aloof behaviour few moments ago in the BR's room. Now all the pieces from puzzle seemed falling into the place. He realised why Nikki refuse to face him because at that time she was struggling with her raging emotions. If he would have been in her shoes he would have done same thing. He could not even imagine to give her pain in anyway. At that moment he felt urge to take nikki in his arm and wiped out all the sorrow from her life. " agar ooska bas chale to who nikki ki aankho main kabhi aanshoo o ko sthaan naa lene de……….bas khushi ki bahaar hi bahaar ho ooske daaman main………kanto se kabhi ooska damaan chhalni naa ho…saare kaante who apne liye rakh le aur nikki ke raaste main who bas phool bichhaa le………

He was overwhelmed by all contrasting emotion. Confused and puzzled, he was completely lost in his thoughts. One moment he felt happiness that Nikki was cherishing moments those were related to him but second moment he felt dejection that his memory was tormenting her. Again he felt rejoiced that Nikki might be feeling the same way the way he was feeling for her. However, his rejoice followed by devastation because knowing her disposition he knew that she will endure all agony but won't express her feelings. He was like flower tossed in storm swaying in the direction of wind……………he thought whatever it is…..he only wants to see nikki happy.

So what they might not able to give any name to their relation………lekin who humesha ooske dil main rahegi dhadkan banke, man main rahegi khayal banke, sanso main rahegi khushbu banke, ankho main rahegi khwab banke………aur lahu banke ooske sare badan main ooska pyaar daudtaa rahegaa……………his only happiness was to give happiness to nikki and he thought he could do that without being attached with her any physical way. He prayed to god please at least bestowed your blessing upon me that I could bring smile on nikki's face and fill her life with all the colours of happiness. …………

but before he could think more his trance had been broken by technician's gentle tap on his shoulder.

The technician was informing him that they have arranged every thing and now saksh should check computer and other things whether they are working perfectly or not. After informing saksh and showing him other stuff technicians left the room.

Saksh set on chair and was occupied checking all the stuff.

After spending some emotional moment with her mom, Nikki was feeling light hearted. At least she could emptied her heart in front of her mom though she could not tell her each and every detail of her agony but at least after spending time with her mom her disquiet mind was at ease. She was tired and wanted to rest and it was BR's lunch time also so she took leave from her mom and asked her not to worry for her. However, BR could not stop worrying about her innocent daughter.

Nikki who was coming from BR's room saw technician going in another direction and turned towards main hall. From far she could not make out that saksh has also left with them or not because she saw only two technician's partially from back. So thinking that saksh might have left her room too with them, she decided to go to her room and rest for a while because last night she could not sleep properly and she was feeling down because of fatigue.

In her thoughts when she entered her room she froze seeing saksh who at the same moment stood up from chair and was coming towards door. He was also rooted to the place seeing nikki entering the room. his heart shrank seeing nikki's lifeless face and swollen eyes.

Both of them staring each other, nikki was giving blank glances and saksh was giving concern glances. Their eyes were revealing the state of their mind. both were standing in opposite direction completely clueless.

Both of them were looking for excuse, saksh was looking for some clue to start talk with nikki " who nikki ki pahad jaise khamoshi ko tod naa chahataa thaa.." and nikki was looking for excuse that she can stay away from saksh……….though her heart was in that favour.

Saksh managed to break his silence

Saksh: who ….computer wageraah sab ho gayaa hain……

Nikki snapped and without any emotions in her voice: thik hain….ab hum sona chahte hain……..

Saksh : aap ek baar dekh leti……..

Nikki: hum thak gaye hain aur aaram karnaa chahte hain……..

Saksh was restless and dejected because his all efforts to make nikki talk or react in any way is going in vain………..

When he was about to move form his place he hit his leg with the leg of the bed because he was too lost in his thoughts……….but the moment his leg hit the bed……..painful scream came out from his mouth………..

Hearing that painful scream nikki rushed near him.

She was concerned for him……

Nikki: sakshji aap theek to hain.,,bahut jor se to nahi lagaa aapko……

For a moment saksh forgot his pain because he felt somebody has applied balm to his wound and mostly to his wounded heart. he could feel that nikki was trying very hard to fight back her emotions by wearing mask of aloofness but the moment she saw saksh in pain she could not stop herself and her true nature surfaced.

Saksh jaise man hi man kah raha ho nikki se jis tarah se mere halke se dard ne app ko vayathit kar diya…….to sochiye aapke dil main jo dard ghar kar gayaa hain oos se muje kitnaa dard ho raha hoga……..

Main aapke saath khushi na sahi pyaar bhi namile to koi shikvaa nahi lekin main aapke saare gham aapke saath baatnaa chahtaa hoo…..muje ees se bhi parhaz naa kijiye……😭😭😭

His heart was crying but he had to pretend he had to wear one mask too……

saksh's penetrating stare was melting nikki but after enduring so much pain through out her life she had learn to bury all the desire and behave normally.

Nikki: saksh kya huva bahut dard ho raha hain.

Saksh suddenly pull out from his thought and straiten himself : ji…ji.hum theek hain….woh…kuchh nahi jara si thokar lag gayi…..

Nikki: sambhal kar chaliye sakshji……warnaa ghir jaayenge……

Saksh: aaj tak sambhal kar hi chalne ki koshish ki hain lekin kayi baar…..raaste dhokaa de dete hain………

He wanted to tell her …ki agar thaam ne wala sathi ho to ghir ne kaa bhi apnaa hi ek nashaa hota hain. but he swallow those words.

Saksh looked at nikki longingly that she would continue her talk but she seemed distant to him. however, they have always maintained distance in their relationship but they used to feel very comfortable and contented in each other's company but today he felt that two strangers were standing in one room. he felt the air was getting heavy. Remorseful, he was blaming himself for nikki's suffering because in some way it was right, because of her feelings for him was tormenting her.

He started to walk towards door. He touched his wallet from outside. ….jaha do chudiyaa do saheli ki tarah jaise mil rahi thee lekin ye do dost jaise ajnabi se ho gaye the……ek dusre se jaise juda ho rahe the……..

Suddenly nikki called his name and he was delighted that at last nikki called him. however, his happiness was short lived.

Very coldly nikki told him: ye lifaafaa shayad aapkaa hain.aap bhool rahe the….

Saksh: ji ..ye kunvarji ko dena thaa . rani ji ki college se aayaa hain…..socha tha kunvarji office chale jaaye oos se pahele dedu lekin ab to who chale gaye honge

Nikki: nahi who apne kamare main hi hain……..

Saksh: eetni der tak abhi to dopahar ho gayi hain aur kunvarji office nahi gaye?

Nikki blurt out:: who rani ki wajah se raat ko so nahi paaye …humaraa matlab rani ki chintaa ho rahi hogi onhe eesi wajah se so nahi paaye honge…..

Saksh: rani ??? kunvarji oonse mil ne gaye the?

Nikki: ji who rat ko aaye the rani ko mil ne ke liye…lekin jab rani ki tabiyet main sudhar thaa to humne oonhe apne kamare main bhej diya.kyunki kham khaa koi dekh letaa to hajaaro sawaal khade ho jaate

Saksh: hmm ye baat to sahi hain…….eesi wajah se aap bhi thaki huyi lag rahi hain……..

He looked at her wistfully.

Nikki averted her glance: hum abhi aaram karnaa chahte hain…..

Indirectly she told saksh to leave her alone. Downhearted, saksh left the room….while going out his heart was silently telling nikki……….

Apni registaan se sune jeevan main mrigjal banaa ke basaalo

Pyaas naa bujaa paaye to kyaa aas banke to jindaa rakh paaye……..

He was praying god to help him because his heart was crushing in small pieces seeing nikki in pain. If any way he could bring smile to nikki's face then he will be able to sit in peace. He could do anything to bring that spring on nikki's face.

After saksh left the room nikki just lay down on her bed…..she was silently sobbing and mentally asking forgiveness from saksh that she behaved rudely with him. however she could see the concern in his eyes but purposely she ignore those emotions.

Heavy hearted he went to yudi's room who was sitting in front of laptop but lost in his thought. Saksh thought that yudi must be worried about rani. saksh knocked on the door.

Yudi suddenly pulled out from his thought: are saksh aayiye…….

Saksh: are kunvarji aap kis vicharo main khoye huve hain….ki aaj office jana bhi bhul gaye..

Yudi: nahi kuchh nahi bas aise hi…..

Saksh: aap humse chhipaayenge?????? Aapki aankhe saaf kah rahi hain ki aap saree rat soye nahi…..aap rani ji ke bare main soch rahe hain?

Yudi: ji who rat ko oonki tabiye kharab ho gayi thee.lekin ab theek hain…….are ye sab chhodiye kahiye aapkaa kaise aanaa huvaa?

Saksh: are haa ……hum to ye lifafa jo raniji ki college se aaye hain who dene aaye the……aur kahne aaye the ki computer wagerah humne rakhwaa diyaa hain nikkiji ke kamare main……..

Yudi: ye to bahut hi achhi baat hain ab jaise hi rani theek hoti hain hume oonki padhaayi shuru karni padegi…….

Meanwhile yudi opened the letter and he read, he seemed thoughtful after reading those papers.

Saksh: kyaa huva kunvarji koi paresaani hain….

Yudi: baat paresaani wali to hain…..lekin kuchh hal dhundh naa padegaa

Saksh: kyaa baat hain hume bataayiye kunvarji

Yudi: who hum logo ne rani kaa admission der se karvaayaa aur ab oonki first semester exams ek mahine main hi hain.aur rani ki padhayi huvyi nahi hain ….ab kaise hoga oon ko pariksha main takriban utirn ho eetne marks to lane hi padenge warnaa humaari saari mahenat bekaar jaayegi……..

Saksh: hmm baat to oolji huyi hain ab kyaa karenge kyunki rani ji ko theek hone main bhi panch chhe dinlag jaayenge……aur phir sab notes wageraah banaayenge oon sab main samay lag jaayegaa…….mushkil lagthaa hain

Yudi: mushkil to hain namumkin nahi…agar hum nikki ki madad le..

Nikki's sad face appeared in front of saksh……he felt crease in his heart………

Yudi: agar nikki saare notes banaa ne main madad kare aur web se saare assignment rani ko print kar ke de to kaam chal saktaa hain…kyunki waise bhi rani ko aaraam ki jaroorat hain to who aaram karte karte padh to sakti hain……aur baad main hum kuchh aisa bando bast karna padega ki rani ko sab kaamo se chhooti mil jaaye….aur who sirf maa ki sevaa main niyukt kar di jaaye to who waha beth kar bhi padhaayi kar sakti hain……..kyunki waise bhi maa ke kamare main koi aata jaata nahi sivayi subahaa aur raat ko pitaji mil ne jaate hain……

Saksh was impressed the way yudi immediately thought solution for rani…..yudi was always quick to take action when matter is involved rani's comfort and happiness. Seeing yudi's concern and care for rani, his mind also started racing because nikki's lifeless face kept appearing in his mind. smile crossed his face when one idea struck to his mind.

Yudi seeing saksh smiling: kyaa huva? Aap ke chahere pe ye khushi ki rekhaa……

Saksh: nahi kunvarji hum to ye soch rahe the ki jab baat raniji ki aati hain aapke vichaar gati pakad lete hain maan naa pade…..

Yudi smiled shyly.

Saksh: kunvarji hum ek baat kahe agar aap galat naa samje to

Yudi : saksh kabhi humne aapki baat kaa bura mana hain…..bejijak kahiye…..

Saksh: nahi kunvarji aap galat mat samjiyegaa ye to bas ek baat dil main aayi hain

Yudi: ab aap paheliya bujaana bandh karenge aur baat bataayenge?

Saksh arranging all sentence properly and very carefully: ji who hum soch rahe the……ki nikki ji saari notes wageraah banaa ne main madad karengi aur hir assignment main bhi oonko madad karni padegi……to ……

Seeing saksh's hesitation .

Yudi: saksh aap jijakiye mat aap saaf saaf kijiye aap kyaa kahenaa chahte hain..

Saksh: humaaraa kahene kaa matlab thaa……..ki agar nikki ji ye sab karne hi waali hain to kyun naa aap oonkaa bhi admission college main karwaa de to rani ji ke saath saath oonki bhi padhaayi ho jaayegi……..waise bhi oonhe apni padhaayi bich main chodni padi thee shadi ho jaane ki wajah se aur oon kaa man bhi bahal jaayegaa…

He was anxious what yudi will think about him or may be he will get upset hearing this.

Saksh: kunvarji hum to bas aise hi kah rahe the socha …ki….

Yudi stopped him in middle, saksh was perturbed that yudi must be angry…..but

Yudi: saksh ………ye baat humaare dimaag main kyun nahi aayi………hum eetne swaarthi ho gaye hain ki humaare bahan ke bare main hum soch naa bhi bhul gaye…..kahenaa pade dost ho to aap jaisa ho….hume naaz hain ki aap humaare dost hain……

Saksh: kunvarji aisi baat nahi ye to sirf aisi hi jab aap kah rahe the to ek khayaal aa gaya

Yudi was overwhelmed: nahi saksh aise hi kabhi khayaal nahi aataa hume maaloom hain aap ko nikki ki chintaa raheti hain…..aur aap ek sache dost hain nikki ke…….

Saksh was satisfy that at least he could manage to do something for nikki but his biggest felicity would be when nikki will hear this news and feel happy too.

Yudi: saksh agar ye karnaa hain to phir deri kis baat ki…chaliye hum abhi jaa kar nikki se ees bare main baat karte hain aur aaj se hi karyawahi shuru kar dete hain….kyaa kahete hain aap?

Saksh's gratification was clearly visible on his face.

Saksh: ji chaliye……..( then remembered that nikki wanted to sleep but he could not tell yudi about it because he wanted to see nikki happy at any cost and he knew that nikki would be overjoyed when she will get this news and he did not want to delay the moment that could bring single line of happiness on her face.)

They went to nikki's room and knocked on the door.
