Hey! A lot of you may relate with this, and you may not, but lots of people think that reading Harry Potter makes you a nerd! People in school think that Harry Potter is boring, and so ones who read his books are also boring! I DON'T BELIEVE THAT! Harry Potter rulez! Now who agrees wit me?

Note: Pleez don't think I'm making this statement for everyone, I'm just stating my opinion!

Samrina.....
I think you've got the meaning of the word nerd wrong.
a nerd means

1. A foolish, inept, or unattractive person.
2. A person who is single-minded or accomplished in
scientific or technical pursuits but is felt to be
socially inept.

Now if you can just tell me where you live I can show you that me along with many other of my friends here can and will show you that we are neither....... 😡

I would like to ask you how many books have you read.... I'll tell you this Harry Potter may not rule the world.....but he sure does rule the hearts of those who live here. and if you love you life don't ever say that Daniel Radcliffe can go to hell (for fear you may be blocked by one of the Global Moderators) I'm sure misha will be dying to do that if she knows this article exists on this forum.

P.S.: One word of advise as a co-member. You don't go into a lions pride(thatz a group of lions for the uninitiated) and announce "lions are bunch of asses" if you love your life..... I think you are smarter than that.

Regards,

Tejas

Tejas, I think you misunderstood samrina's post. What she was posting about was what people around her thought of HP, not what she herself thinks. DIdn't she just say that "People think that HP is a nerd" and after that she wrote in big block letters that, "I DON'T BELIEVE THAT,".

Well, samrina, I don't think that people think that Harry Potter and HP readers and fans are nerds. Infact, all my group of friends, my elder sis and many other people around me are die-hard HP fans and no one thinks that HP is a nerdy pursuit or that we are nerds. I even got my dad and mom to read the 1st book!😆

Shame Samrina.....I think you went about your post in a totally wrong way!

Both Tejas and Ashi make valid points.....I, for one am 25 years old but I reread and rewatch all the HP book and movies all the time.

So all in all, all I can say is that I am not a nerd, but a true, loyal, ardent, passionate and die-hard fan of HP.....always was and always will be! 😊

I really don't get why reading a book that seems to capture not only one's imagination but also enchant one can lead to you being labelled as a nerd. Yes, generally people do have the opinion that anyone who reads book with a passion that is unmatched by any other hobby is a nerd, but its just stupid on the part of those people to call someone who is well read a nerd.

BTW, I think HP rocks!

I'm a Nerd for several reasons, but Tejas...those dictionary definitions are disputable! 😉

Anyway, ppl who dont read the books call us Hari Putter Maniacs!

My friends used to say the same thing until I converted all of them into Hari Putter Maniacs as well! 😆
