Yesterday's dialogues were no nice that I could not help myself putting in my interpretation/translation of hindi dialogues that Lata had mentioned in her update in these forums. (Hey Lata no offence meant...ur translations were anyways enough. But then really wanted to share this one. Don't take it amiss pleeeaaassse !!!)
When DK says...
lagta hain Inder apni Zindagi ki Disha Kho chukka hain..
You would have guessed by now that there are actually two meanings of this sentence...
Literal meaning is that 'I guess Inder has lost direction of his life'..
Other explanation..
DK knows/suspects that Inder was/is in love with Dish. He is amused by the fact that Inder has lost his Disha (Direction) and ends up with his cranky laughter.
Now for the song..
Thinka Thinka, kyon aashiyaan meri yun bhikhar jaata hain,
Little by little why does my home/nest gets scattered away...
Mere hathon se ummeddo ke har baar yeh daaman choota ,
Why is that my hopes always seem to just slip from my hands..
(Like how sometimes the hem of a garment slips away from hands even when you are holding to it, similary my hope also seems to be slipping away)
Kohin apna ho ya begaana , har insaan kyon mujhse roota hain..
Any loved one or stranger, everyone seems to be angry with me...
Mein kya jaanoo, meri bhool hain kyaa…..
How do I know, what is my mistake...
