Big B, Salman and John ill - Bollywood feels the pain!

Over Rs 50 crore at stake as shoots are cancelled or postponed

'Kabul Express' had to be halted mid-way as John Abraham had to rush back home due to typhoid. Two days of the 'Jaaneman' shoot also had to be cancelled as Salman Khan fell ill. And of course, Big B being unwell has led to Star TV not being able to telecast KBC on Sundays, not to mention the cancellation of shoots of various films that he is starring in.
Trade analyst Amod Mehra, says, "Just Bachchan not being well must have cost the industry at least Rs 50 crore, a major portion of which must be incurred by Star TV. And John Abraham and Salman Khan cancelling shoots must have incurred the producers at least Rs 10 lakh per day."
A Star TV spokesperson (on conditions of anonymity) reveals, "We have incurred some losses. But it's not as much as people think it is because we don't have permanent sets. We take it in our stride because it is unfortunate that Mr Bachchan is not well and otherwise he is a very professional and accommodating person."
Bhaskar Shetty, John Abraham's secretary says, "John's dates have gone haywire. But these are unforeseen circumstances." As for his health status, we're informed the 'Dhoom' star is still on drips.
