There's a bad news for the lovers of Ekta's Mahabharat. With the channel facing problems and tipped to shut down, shooting of Mahabharat has too been brought to a halt.
The stars have not shot for more than a month now and are waiting for a word from producers regarding the shoot.
Sid Makkar, who plays Arjun in the show, says, "I shot for Mahabharat before the black out. It's been a very long time so I don't even remember the sequence properly. I think there has been some problem with the channel and that is what has affected the shoot."
Anita Hasnandani who is set to play Draupadi gives a similar account. "I shot for the cheer-haran sequence which was shown in the 1st episode, after that I haven't been called. now toh perhaps some thing is wrong with the channel too," she informs.
Mrunal who plays Krishna in the show too is desperate to get back to work after a long break. "I shot for this sequence where Balram and Krishna are returning from Dwarka and this happened around 20 days back. I don't know what's exactly wrong but as per the information we have been informed that it will start by January," he says.
Pooja Bose, who plays Radha has not been shooting and has been told her services won't be required in the future. She is presently busy shooting for her new show Tujh Sang preet lagayi sajna on Star Plus where she is playing the lead actress.
With rumours of channel's future in question, we wonder whether this long break which all the stars are enjoying presently might just turn into a permanent adieu.
