How to take care of your hair : Shilpa Shetty

"Wash your hair only in alternate days. Keep changing your shampoo. Do not use the same brand always. I use hair dryer. But I make sure that it's not that hot. Otherwise it will spoil the softness of the hair. U might even lose your hair".

Another piece of advice don't wash your hair with too much warm water your hair can easily break. Try cool water so the hair can remain strong.

I always use warm water no wonder my hair is thinning.

If you can, oil your hair 2-3 times a month, if you can leave the oil in overnight do it and also after oiling your hair wrap a hot towel around your hair and leave it for 10-15 mins so oil can seep in. This will help you have shinier and healthier hair😃

I've heard that changing brands is a bad idea. I did that when I was a kid, and I ended up losing lots of hair. That's why I've been sticking to the same brand for 5 years now.

It really makes no difference to hair whether you switch brands or not. Switching shampoo brands can cause hair to fall is a myth. You can switch if you want, sometimes some shampoos you use for a long time can leave a buildup on your head, hence switching to a different brand can be sometimes good because it will clear the residue and buildup your old shampoo leaves behind.

Hair falling can be due to lots of things i.e. genetics, bad diet etc. shampoos really have nothing to do with it.

FYI- I am not a professional regarding hair care by any means. I have just done a little research because I am very conscious about my own hair and if my knowledge can help someone else I would be happy to oblige. 😳

Agree with shilpa on the hair dryer. I don't even dry my hair with that heat dryer anymore because it damages the hair.
