I was shocked to hear the reason Vish gave for not getting Shaurya and Varsha married! According to him, if people would know that Shaurya had an affair and he had love marriage, nobody would marry Akshara ...thinking if brother is like this, sister might be the same! this is the limit....this doesn't make any sense!! i'm not saying this bec. I'm a Shaurya Varsha fan but this sounds so illogical...and it's not that the story is set in the pre independence era!!
the family is shown to be too much conservative......and the irony is that daadi who is the eldest of them all has a free mind about all these issues..from the beginning, she helped Akshara in Alok's case, she helped her in postponing her marriage and now she's alright with Shaurya Varsha couple!! and the rest of the family, specially Akshara's parents act like 15th century people !! something is seriously wrong with the story these days...i earlier posted that they are advocating ideas such as girls must not be sent to colleges, they don't have the right to say no for a boy, and whatever Shankari tayi says in the serial is just too much....
I hope what happened in Bidai doesn't happen in this serial..In Bidai they are going too far with the "color" thing and in this serial i hope they don't go on and on about how bad love and love marriage is!!
Plz friends i'm not criticizing these serials..i love them both ....but i feel that if they show too much of this then people who advocate similar ideas will get more strength..in today's age, therez a need to be more liberal...
