The Gayatri mantra is a universal prayer which can be used by men and women of all races and creeds, for it calls upon the Supreme Intelligence that is immanent (throughout) the universe to arouse, awaken and strengthen human intelligence, so that it may lead one through spiritual effort and activities to success. Gayatri mantra is one of the oldest known mantra to human kind and was known much earlier than even before it was written in Rk-veda Different dieties have different mantra, the gayatri mantra for Sita-Ram and Hanuman are given below: Ram-gayatri mantra
Om Dasharathputra yEy vidmahE|
Sita Vandana yEy dhimanhI
Tanno RamH prachodayati||
Om Let us meditate upon the one who is the son of Dasharatha; Let the one who was adored and highly reverd by Sita bless me with intellect and let (Shrii) Rama illuminate and protect me.
Sita gayatri mantra
Om Janak nandiniyEy vidmahE |
Bhumija yEy dhimahI
tanno SitaH prachodayatu ||
Om let us meditate upon the one who is the daughter of Janaka; Let the one who born of earth bless me with intellect and let Sita illuminate and protect me.
Hanumad gayatri mantra
Om Aanjaneya yey vidmahE |
Vayu putraya dhimahI
tanno Hanuman prachodayatu ||
Om let us meditate upon the one who is the son of Anjana; Let the one who is Vayu's son bless me with intellect and let Hanuman protect and illuminate me.
