vrinda is mad at her husband for coming in drunk.
akshay and eldest brother are drinking tea in front of vrinda. very cute scene. must see.
mom is mad about shantanu spending the night. vrinda comes forward and says she can't forget he saved her child, and so she herself allowed it. that her sons came in a very bad state last night and shantanu handled them and brought them home.
aradhana's mom and sister come to see her. they all sit for breakfast together. there eldest brother tries to make a public apology for last night's behavior and asks that the topic now become closed. vrinda angry goes away. everyone else laughs it off saying that everyone makes mistakes but he is the man who learns from his mistakes.
aradhana invites shantanu to mehendi. A's mom brings up the subject of A and Shailen having kids. Shailen makes excuse for work and leaves suddenly. everyone is conscious of the uncomfortableness. mom tell's A's mom that the topic has come up in the house too many times, that's why. but A's mom says, how much longer do they want to wait? they've been married 10 yrs!
shailen rudely and obnoxiously takes out his anger on A even though A says she never said anything to her mom. Shailen says, that as A looks, she isn't. (she isn't as she looks). Ha. speak for yourself. it applies to him more than anything.
sis comes in to see A. she asks if something is wrong, and if jiju got upset. A makes some excuse of work for him. sis says surely A is hiding something. sis and A have a cute moment. she asks about shantanu, and A tells him he is dad's friend's son. she then asks, do you like him? i can begin the talk if you'd like. she's shy and runs from there.
mom comes into see A. she says she really likes simiran ( i think A's sis) and wishes, even though sanjana is nice, that sim and Akshay were getting married, because A has handled the house so well, and she knows that sim would have same sanskar. but A's very nicely says the the relationship of sisters should always remain and not become devrani jetani. mom asks did shailen take out his anger on you? before A can say anything, mom says, even if you make excuses for him, i can see it all over your face.
at mehendi function, A's mom asks mom to put on mehendi as it is a sign of marriage. but she makes some excuse and leaves. her husband comes to her and asks that she forget the past mistake, and realize that his happiness lies in her happiness. he takes her hand and asks, with tears in his eyes to put mehendi on, that she is a married women and decorate herself as such on this occasion...for him at least, since he doesn't have much time. she looks at him with tears and whispers, "Ji".
later, shantanu and vrinda her teasing ea. other. shantanu decides that he'll feed all the women as they all have mehendi. he very sweetly says he'll start with Aunty (mom) because she's the eldest. but after saying no, mom, rudely lashes out at him. shantanu is taken aback by this behavior. (wow, i feel so bad for him).
precap. something about shantanu saying that with this family he always feels something for his parents. and i think his uncle or whoever came with him wants to return to UK. not sure if shantanu is returning too.
