All of the articles and previews of the show say that Vaishnavi is such a Satya Savitri, that she will win her husband back from Yamraj. So, that seems to be where this is going. Otherwise, it would make it seem like Matarani's daughter is just like everyone else, and therefore nothing is special about her. To have MR's daughter live like a widow for the rest of her life would be unjust according to what the show preaches.
