Telly stars say, 'No time for holiday'

Our TV actors are known for their hectic schedules, but despite that, they feel days like Republic Day should be celebrated in a constructive way rather than treating it like just another holiday!

They should be declared working days for all — not just for TV stars as at this point of time when the markets are down, we need to contribute more to the economy. What's the use of a holiday if you don't have money in your pockets to enjoy the day?

It has to be known that these two days are not normal holidays. I feel these holidays should be used in a constructive way. People should get into introspection mode and think what can be done on an individual level for the betterment of the country. Otherwise, I think these days shouldn't be termed as holidays.

To be honest, for any person it's a day to be marked. But there are professions where you can't stop work. Especially the TV industry. We have no option but to shoot as huge money is at stake.

Sayantani Ghosh:
Days like Republic Day and Independence Day should be declared as holidays for TV stars as well, as we too are also a part of the Indian Constitution, just like everybody else.

Jasveer Kaur:
I think officially, if it is declared to a holiday, then it should be a holiday for TV stars as well. I may take a holiday today on Republic day.

Swapnil Joshii:
I think we should spend the day in some constructive way and the best way to do that is to work. Almost everyone looks at it as a holiday. We should work towards making India a stronger nation in our own little ways.

Whether working or holidaying, I think, we must try and do something that would be of service to the nation.
