Its Padmashri Aishwarya Rai Bachachan now!

The buzz of achieving 60th rank in the most desired list of AskMen not yet subsided, and Aishwarya Rai scored at another achievement to her credit - this time she was awarded one of the most coveted awards of India, a Padmashri. Aishwarya Rai Bachachan is one of the 133 people who will be receiving this years Padma awards. Among the others the notable luminaries of the Bollywood include Akshay Kumar, Udit Narayan and Helen.

Commenting on achievement Aishwarya said, "I am thrilled to hear that the government has accorded me such a big honor. Big B for his part qu0ted the following on his blog -

"Aishwarya comes in from Chennai tomorrow early. Her Padma Shri decoration on announcement on the wires. We are all happy for her recognition. It will be the 5th National Padma decoration in the family. My Father the first with a Padma Bhushan, then me with a Padma Shri, followed again after a few years with a Padma Bhushan, Jaya with a Padma Shri and now Aishwarya.

5 Padma awardees in one family !! God is generous and kind."

Congratz for her, her career is flying high, and especially since her marriage. So what if abhi doesn't have one, he will one day, and besdies, he's lucky for her and she's lucky for him!! Go Ash!!
