well, they showed Rehan and Sana resolving their issues/admitting their love for each other before the 3-month leap/change of location ...and I suspect, that we as viewers are to assume that they "lived happily ever after".
it may well be that as the story progresses they return on the pretext of business/friends of Arjun - particularly since, Arjun himself was living out of India prior to his dad's death a year ago.
however, I must stress, its a mere speculation ..only the show's creative-team know the reality 😳
