why is the channel shutting down in between shows? i mean dont they have to finish the shows they atleast started??

Post strike no new episodes of any shows have been shown on 9X. Last we heard was that the Channel is going to shut down soon. Recently there was an article that a new show is coming on 9X but what will happened to the other shows which use to air on the Channel earlier has not been said oe decided yet.
