Thanks for the above story on Samba. Two minor points - Anirudha too was killed, and it was Anirudha/Usha's son Vajra who Arjun installed as ruler of Mathura, leaving Subhadra as his regent. Also, after they had played the prank, in what I read (Amar Chitra Katha), they approached Ugrasena, not Akrura.
Also, when Samba abducted Duryodhan's daughter, he fought them but was overpowered by Bhishma, Drona, Karna all fighting unitedly against him and capturing him. Since Krishna was away in the forest with the Pandavas, Balarama was approached to rescue Samba. He initially went as a messenger to the Kauravas and pleaded with Duryodhan to return Samba. When Duryodhan, in his usual arrogance refused, Balarama, with his hala, uprooted Hastinapur and put it in the middle of the sea 🤣 (He should have left it there 🤣🤣🤣) Then the Kaurava's got rattled, and not only returned Samba, but surrendered Lakshmanaa as his bride. This relationship was also the basis on which Duryodhan approached Krishna on the eve of the war asking for support.
P.S. Apologies for so many dwapar yuga insertions.
