Sad that it has happened at the fag end of the contest.
the classical round and the live performance at delhi have exposed Yashita's voice for what it really is. she needs to go a long long way. agreed she is brilliant in the item songs that she sang through out the season, and probably will do well as singer for Pritam's songs, but like Jagjit Singh, ruthlessly but truthfully said, she has a long way to go before catching up with Vaishali and Shoumen.
I pity the judges, all of them, Pritam and Aadesh for not being honest, and talking about attitude and musical intelligence etc. etc. and giving sur a backseat , Aadesh was back to his old ways, just one round ago he praises Vaishali for singing "Hoat Rasilay" with the correct attitude and in the next round while arguing with Himesh he says Vaishali has sur but no attitude ...... get real people, asha bhosle who has sang the maximum song with maximum attitude, is a trained calssical singer first, then a pop/rock/hip-hop diva .......
Himesh for spoiling Vaishali's dream run, i think this season is unique for the fact that almost everyone agrees Vaishali is a brilliant singer and deserves to win unlike previous seasons ....... we truly have a deserving winner amongst us ...... even hindi film music needs a brilliant singer like Vaishali .... lets just hope that Vaishali wins and dosent go the Nihira, Hemachandra,Poonam way ......
For all their loud talks none of them gave a song to Vaishali, Aaadesh even recorded with Aasma but they have nothing to offer Vaishali, the only song which she got was for a Marathi film by some marathi music director ..... so much for all the talks about talent and sur etc. even Shankar has failed on this count.
