BTW don't the girls get a share in the property....as far as I know in Inida girls and boys have equal share in parents property, so what about Krishna and ganga

Well this is not a rule yet and gals but yeah none stops if fathers wanna give them esp if prop is not inheritance but father hard owned. But its only in kerala that this is a more a law .

Nahi archie, it's Indian law that children get equal share irrespective of gender. I am pretty sure tha it was insituted during one of the tenures of Indira Gandhi as PM.

Its more to with a family ,i know families where they give equal share to both boy nd gals.few give some part as dowry and few families dnt bother.

It is Hindu law that girls get equal part of ancestaral property. If its earned by father only then dad can give it to whoever he wants. So if WGI was started by Uday Walia then both boys & girls have right over the property including JIgs.
