Jan 13th '09 Written Update
Sav goes to take the sheet off of the body, but Saras stops her and tells her that bapuji's face is beyond recognition. Sav goes into shock and remains speechless. Saras and Shitij tell the cop that their dad was supposed to be at work, and wonders what he was doing at the lake. The cop assures them that he will conduct an autopsy and a full investigation and will get to the bottom of this. Yuvraj gets nervous and asks the cop not to do any autopsy cuz he wants his dad to rest in peace and doesn't want his family to go thru any more of this. When the cop insists on an autopsy, Shitij gives his consent and then takes Saras and Sav home where Baa and everyone else are anxiously waiting. They are confused when Saras and Shitij bring in a completely shattered Sav. All rush to her and Saras breaks the tragic news to them. Baa crumbles to the floor in tears and the whole family is devastated. Sav later goes to her room and takes off all her jewels and mangalsutra while remembering Surya.
Kaj and Ras are celebrating their success and Kaj tells her that she was the one who killed Surya, and Ras congratulates her. Kaj tells Ras that the driver will not be a problem for them, cuz she already paid him off to leave town. Yuvraj comes to Kaj and tells her abt the autopsy. She reassures him that no one will find out anything. All of a sudden he notices his pendant missing and panics that he may have dropped it on the boat. Kaj urges him to go look for it, b4 the cops get it. When he arrives at the lake, the cops are still there and a cop asks him what he is doing there. He lies that he came to check on them and he requests them to release the body to them soon. The cop promises to do the formalities quickly. Yuv then calls Kaj from his car and updates her on what happened and tells her that he cudn't search for the pendant. When he tells her that he is going to be with his family now, she warns him to be cautious and to behave normally. Yuv brings Surya's body home. Sav dressed in white breaks down next to the body. Yuv is overwhelmed with immense guilt as he watches his family engulfed in grief and realizes that he has committed a huge mistake!
Precap: At Surya's funeral, the lawyer tells Yuv that his dad loved him so much that a few hours b4 his death he had called him up asking him to put the entire property in Yuv's name.
