Torsha needs to learn to pick songs that suit her voice quality. And Baahon Me Chale Aa certainly ain't it. The song lives on the sweetness that Lata ji's voice carries. On the other hand, Torsha's voice is so husky, and lacks that very sweet and soothing quality that's needed for the song. I feel that the huskiness of her voice contributed to the "breathing" issue that you guy are referring to.
Also, these contestants look so awkward performing, they're not used to it, they're barely getting the hang of their singing, and now they're being expected to walk across the stage --- obviously breathing will become an issue. From how I see it, singing comes first.
One can "perform" while standing in one spot as well. Performing is the way you connect with the audience, and if your singing is powerful enough, you can stand in one place and do it. What if Lata ji was standing their singing, Sonali would give her a red for not "performing"? đ No, no, no. If you stand in one place, but create that atmosphere that your song requires, you can perform as well.
Regardless, these contestants need to SING first and foremost, and after that all this other rubbish.
đ..she will say' Lataji...i will give you a red 'cos you stood where u were..u should have walked up and down.shook hands with the front audience.....did some kamar latak matak...but i cannot give you a red because i will only see red everywhere if i give you one.......'they should stop all this dancing and prancing around...i feel Torsha is very conscious and has lost her way totally 'cos of this crap thing called performance..she is more conscious abt her per...than her singing....sad..
