What happens when a show has elephantine gestation

If a romantic show -especially one that places undue emphasis only on the main leads to the exclusion of developing the characters of the supporting actors- has an elephantine gestation of 22 months or more, what is delivered at the end of it is a monster, not a baby elephant. Such shows peak at about 9-10 months which would be the normal gestation of a human baby. If they wind up by then we will still have a baby. If not we will have to risk having to put up with any monster - which includes anything and everything that is socially, ethically and morally wrong.
Take this show. It started last February. It was at its peak in Nov-Dec, with the trps ruling the highest. The show makers even went on record saying they changed the track for the viewers. Since then the show has been downhill. Don't know whether it will be delivered in another month or two. All I can foresee is that the longer it runs, the more bizzare is going to be the monster it is going to deliver.

elephantine gestation = birth of big, shapeless monster difficult to control. monster also becomes character eater, destroying all good created earlier.

Well Opti if they continue to drag on with the show it's no use since the original charm has faded even with the old cast back nothing seems familiar. Except for the never ending problems.

Even quickly ending the show is no guarantee they will end it on a happy note. I watched a few Zee shows where inspite of it ending within a few weeks, they killed the female lead. These shows ended with the male lead remarried and living happily ever after with a character just introduced in the last few weeks. 😕 I always felt so sorry for those show's loyal followers. They couldn't even look back on those shows with the knowledge that a couple they probably followed over an 18 month period was still together at the end. Heaven forbid, this happens on KYM but BT are the biggest sadist around. They should have probably ended it once Michi came back to Mumbai after all the leap madness.

Unfortunately I will hv to agree here..the show has gone down the drain and its a common problem with all the shows now..the moment a show is dragged for more than 1 year it starts getting rotten..
Sometimes I feel even MICHI themselves r not interested in the show now😕..I mean why always we keep seeing BDs in almost every episode these days😭😕...
Looks like BT r going through their worst phase right now with all their shows flopping left, right and center😆..the only saving grace now is Kayamath and KDMHMD but these two r also slowly losing their charm
