Jagya is in his room thinking about all the things Daadisa told him about Anandi superceding him. In their room, Suguna is writing a letter to Pratap. Anandi comes there and tries to read it. To distract her, Suguna tells her to get things ready for her doll's wedding. Jagya comes there and sees Anandi with one of his textbooks. Anandi tells him that since Daadisa was ok with her studying, she had got the book to study at night. Jagya glares at her and takes the book and leaves.
In his room, Jagya is distractedly trying to study. Gehna comes there with milk for him. He asks Gehna to be honest and tell him if a bheendni studies, is that an insult to the bheend. Gehna is puzzled about why Jagya is thinking like this. She tries to explain to Jagya that on the contrary, if the bheendni studies, then it was more benificial. She tries to give some examples of how if a bheendni is educated, she can manage her household better..etc. Jagya seems somewhat convinced.
Its morning, Maasa is instructing Sumitra to go to every house in the village and distribute sweets for Suguna's gauna. She asks Sumitra to take Anandi along and buy her clothes etc. Jagya comes there running and asks Sumitra to take him along too. Sumitra refuses saying she had a lot of work...besides she had to take Anandi to the market to buy clothes as she had come first in class. Jagya tells Sumitra that he too wants to buy clothes. Maasa, who is watching all this asks Jagya to go with Bhairav. Anandi offers to buy clothes for Jagya, saying her choice is better anyway. Jagya is pissed and leaves saying he doesn't need anything. He then goes to Bhairav who says he is too busy to take him. Thausa offers to take him, but by then Jagya is too angry and says he isn't going anywhere..Maasa is happy seeing this.
Bhagwati is very worried about Anandi and wants to visit her. Some villager comes there and tells Khajan that everyone in the village knew about Anandi studying. He suggests that Khajan talk to Anandi's in-laws if they were ok with this. Anandi's parents come to visit Anandi, who is super happy. Bhairav and Sumitra happily tell them about Anandi's results.
