After his rock star act in Rock On , the multi-talented Farhan Akhtar is set to make you laugh in the black and subversive comedy Luck By Chance .

From the makers of 'Rock On', 'Luck By Chance' marks the directorial debut of Farhan's sister Zoya Akhtar . The movie, written by both Zoya and Farhan, is based on Bollywood and has Farhan in the lead role.

Though the movie is slated for 30th January release, its theatrical trailer has already set the expectation bar quite high. The movie boasts of a plethora of fine actors like Rishi Kapoor , Dimple Kapadia , Juhi Chawla , Saurabh Shukla and even Konkona Sen Sharma who plays the leading lady opposite Farhan.

According to sources, the film is a realistic take on Bollywood. It narrates the behind-the-scenes story of not only actors but also spot boys. Farhan plays the role of an aspiring actor who comes to Mumbai to be a hero.


From the first look, the film's trailer is quite riveting. It shows Hrithik Roshan as a superstar names Zaffar Khan. Hrithik plays just a cameo in the film. The movie also features plenty of stars from Bollywood in special appearance.

Aamir Khan , Rani Mukherjee , Salman Khan , Shahrukh Khan , Kareena Kapoor , Karan Johar and Shilpa Shetty are some of the celebs who can be seen in the movie in special appearances.

sounds like a good movie, but i would have been more excited if zoya aktar debuted with the directorial venture she had planned with hrithik and kareena in the lead which shes not doing anymore i think.
