Title hassle for Emraan's next film
Remember the chartbuster track 'Tum Mile' from CRIMINAL? Well, Bhatts appear to have really fallen in love with this song from their own production and have used the lyrics as the title of their film with director Kunal Deshmukh (of JANNAT fame). They have named the film as TUM MILEIN which stars Emraan Hashmi and Soha Ali Khan in the lead.
Confirms Kunal, 'Yes, we are currently calling the film as TUM MILEIN though let me clarify that currently it is only the working title. We are still contemplating other alternatives, something as unique and fresh as JANNAT, but till then it is going to be TUM MILEIN. I couldn't have possibly called it as Film No. 2, right?'
A love story set on the night of the infamous 2005 floods in Mumbai, the film would see a 2009 release after the release of Bhatt brothers' another production, JASHN (which stars Adhyayan Suman, Anjana Sukhani and Shahana Goswami in the lead). Says Kunal, 'The story of the film revolves around a couple, played by Emraan Hashmi and Soha Ali Khan here, which gets reunited in the Mumbai floods.'
Incidentally, 2008 saw the release of another film which was based on the Mumbai floods. Titled 26TH JULY AT BARISTA, this low budget film starred mainly newcomers. However, TUM MILEIN is expected to meet with a much better fate, what with the hit team of JANNAT coming together once again. The film has been shot extensively in Cape Town and would resume shooting in Mumbai early next year. The film has music by Pritam who has earlier delivered chartbuster soundtracks for Bhatts in the form of JANNAT, WOH LAMHE and GANGSTER.
