16/12 Written Update

Shaelin asks why she has brought this up after 10 years. Aradhana replies that she had never felt the need to talk about this until today and says that she wants children. Shaelin says that Simran and Sagar are their responsibility and at the point where they need guidance she wants a child.

Aradhana replies that she is not turning her back on her responsibilities but every woman wants to be a mother. Shaelin asks why now, after 10 years when his career is doing well. He tells her that he is not ready for fatherhood and won't be able to give his child the necessary time. Aradhana tries to make him understand but he asks her to stop this and goes to bed after kissing her goodnight.

Morning…

Aradhana is with Nirmila and tries to justify Shaelin's POV. Nirmila is exasperated and says that Shaelin will give her a 100 practical arguments and get her to agree but she has to remember that one can't recover lost time. Shaelin comes out and says that he is leaving. Aradhana asks why so early and tells him to at least have breakfast but he abruptly replies that he has some important work and leaves.

Nirmila says that she will talk to Shaelin; Aradhana asks her not to put pressure on Shaelin but Nirmila is adamant that it's her right to become a mother and she should ask at least that much from Shaelin.

Nir-Da rom…

Nirmila brings Dadu water and a shawl. He tells her that he wishes Shaelin to take Bharat in to the business. Nirmila agrees but says that she wanted to talk to him as well – she fills him in on the baby issue and asks him to talk to Shaelin. Dadu agrees saying that after a long time Nirmila has asked something from him.

Mall…

Shaelin goes to a sari shop. The sales assistant asks what type; Shaelin asks for the most expensive. Sales assistant brings out the designer stuff and Shaelin gets one packed. He then heads towards the western clothes section and looks at some nightwear. He gets one gift-wrapped and asks the sari to be sent to his house and the other packet to be put in to his car.

Garden…

Bharat is with Vrinda and accidentally stumbles. Vrinda yells at him saying that he can never do anything right and when he apologises she tells him that the doctor who had messed up her operation and put her in the wheelchair had also apologised. Simran overhears this and tells Bharat that she will take Vrinda. Vrinda is happy as Bharat leaves.

House…

Aradhana looks shyly in the mirror as she holds a cushion to her stomach. Nirmila comes in and Aradhana hurriedly removes the cushion but Nirmila smiles and assures her that her dream will soon become reality.

Nikita's house…

Shaelin hands over the gift to Nikita who opens it and is shocked to see the sari. Shaelin realises the mix-up and calls the mall but is told that it's already been sent.

Shaelin wonders how he made such a mistake and says it must be because he is no longer in the habit of buying gifts for Aradhana. Nikita smiles and tells him never to stop giving her gifts.

House…

Shaelin arrives home and is met by Dadu and Nirmila.

Inside…

Sagar is playing with Aradhana who is lost in thought. He exclaims that she is lost in her own thoughts which is why he keeps winning. Simran arrives and takes him away saying that she will play with him just as Shaelin comes in and watches Aradhana from the door.

Aradhana says to Shaelin that she ahd not talked to Nirmila and Dadu and it was what they wanted.

Nirmila tells the family that from now on no-one will pester Aradhana with small issues. But Aradhana must not come to know of her decision.
