Akshay is like fine wine.....gets better with age. 😉 He's not even a good actor to begin with (or maybe he never got a challenging role?) but he just has this really fun, quirky, down-to-earth reali life personality that I adore. I can't put my finger on it. I've always liked him and Twinkle separately (and together now ofcourse) for things that have nothing to do with their acting or lack thereof.....

Ha! Ha! Apt.😆 He has come a long way. I never liked him or Twinkle. I mean never found anything special in either of them but together they look good. A couple who never tries too hard still elegant and mostly stylish. They are like real life Namaste London couple.. Desi babu, angrezi mem.

The problem with Akshay is that he repeats a genre where he clicks. He came as an action king and then did those silent romantic types in Yeh Dillagi and Main Khiladi tu Anadi. Then again back to action in between a Waqt or Dhadkan. Since he does a lot of films, it doesn't make an impact like say a SRK or Aamir film. Now when he clicked with Hera Pheri he has continued with that genre.

One fact we cannot forget is that he gave 6-7 back to back superhits and singlehandedly made enough revenue for economically drowned Bollywood. So he isn't wrong in his choices. He gives what audience prefers. We demand a different film but how many of us have waited for a Sorry Bhai or Dasvidaniya with the same enthusiasm as RNBDJ or Ghajini.

He isn't an erudite like most of our Bolly crowd. He struggles with English and recently when asked about CCTC he wasn't sure of the difference between a biography and autobiography...thought for a minute then said it is kind of a audiography. 😃

For a guy who came from paranthewaali gali from Delhi he has made a huge mark without any big banners or godfathers.
