After a hugely successful stint on TV, Ekta Kapoor has now decided to take a step ahead in her career. "I'd love to have my own channel," she had declared a few months ago. Looks like Ekta's dream is going to come true.

According to the rumor mongers, Balaji is in talks with 9x channel. The channel has been unable to live up to the level it claimed when it first started off. So, Balaji has offered to buy the channel and revive it completely. "Apart from being a creative person, Ekta is also a business woman; she will get into something only if she see's some potential in it. Right now she wants to maintain a low profile about this development because it's at a very nascent stage," says an insider.

Interestingly, the money aspect is causing difficulties in the finalizing of the deal. Balaji has quoted Rs. 600 crores while the channel has much higher expectations. The amount 9x has asked for is the double of what is on offer i.e. Rs. 1200 crore. However, both the concerned parties want to stay away from talking about it.

Ekta's business details are taken care of by her parents. Both Jeetendra and Shobha Kapoor feel that this deal could be profitable to the company. Let's see if this turns out to be yet another successful venture from the soap factory called Balaji.
