Pallavi arrives in Amritsar to find Harshana there. They discover that Gayatri was mixed up at birth and the girl they know and love as Gayatri is someone else's daughter. Pallavi pressurizes Harshana to tell her who the real Gayatri is but Harshana says she doesn't remember, Pallavi on the hand seems to think she knows.

The infamous wind plays tricks again and this time it throws a picture of Anjana and Gayatri off a cupboard causing it to break into pieces. Anjana considers this a bad omen while Gayatri tries to assure her it's not. They receive a call telling them that it has been two days since Harshana left Chandigarh and Anjana is worried because she hasn't arrived at home yet. The next day however a distraught Harshana arrives at the Gill mansion where she remains in shock about her discovery. When asked where she was Harshana chooses to keep the secret to herself.
Meanwhile Shruti organizes a dinner to try and patch up Gayatri and Samir and invites all the families to come for it. Later that day Bhushan and Neeraja arrive at the Agarwal mansion with Pallavi and everyone is shocked. Not knowing Pallavi's past with the Agarwals Bhushan and Neeraja tell them that they brought her along with them because she had come to their house. Neeraja asks about giving Shruti in marriage and Bhushan says that there is a friend of his in town looking for a prospective wife for his son. Om and Parvati agree to meet up with them but neither tells Shruti. Bhushan asks where Krishna is and the family covers things up but then are shocked when Krishna makes a surprise entrance at the mansion. Pallavi welcomes him and they share an insulting mother-son moment in front of everyone as Pallavi introduces Krishna to Bhushan and Neeraja as her son. Soon after Samir arrives and is followed by Anjana and Harpreet. When Samir sees that Gayatri is not with them he decides to go and meet her and hence leaves the party.
All three families have a wonderful time at dinner and finally call it a night with everyone complementing Parvati's food. On the way out Kamal tries to talk to Krishna but he says that he will continue living with his mother now and Pallavi is over the moon. She lands Kamal a victorious look before walking out. Meanwhile Samir and Gayatri break out into an argument about Gayatri not turning up at dinner. They both decide that they should have thought about their decision a little more since Gayatri's work is more important her than anything else.
Later both of them regret it and ponder over it separately. Shruti tries getting in touch with both of them but with no luck. Parvati and Om talk about Shruti's marriage again and Parvati says that she'll talk to Shruti about it in the morning. Meanwhile at the Gill mansion Anjana walks in to see Harshana and with the greatest of difficulty Harshana tells her that Gayatri is not her daughter. Anjana is furious and screams out in agony but then falls to the floor unconsciously. Harshana wakes up from the bad dream she's just had and realizes that she can't afford to have something like that happen to Anjana because of a secret no one knows about. Harshana is then visited by her conscience who tells her that she has to make a decision between protecting her secret and never telling anyone the truth about what happened. She weighs the pros and cons and decides to tell the family the truth. However when she goes to talk to them she is unable to tell them the truth and says that the problem she posed them is one that a friend of hers is going through. Both Gayatri and Anjana tell her that her friend should keep it a secret and Harshana feels ashamed for not being able to tell them what the truth is. In her thought process it is also revealed that Harshana knows who her real granddaughter is.
The next day Parvati talks to Shruti about the boy who's coming to see her and Shruti refuses to see him but Parvati tells her that no one is forcing her all she has to do is see the boy and if she doesn't like him just say no. Parvati firmly tells Shruti to get back from her business meeting in time from Pune so she can be here when the guests arrive. Shruti reluctantly agrees. She and Samir then leave to Pune on their business. But on their way back we find that Samir is not doing all that well since his argument with Gayatri and Shruti tells him that it will be ok soon. The two of them then find that the road to Mumbai is closed because of an accident and it will take a couple of hours before the block is taken care of. Both of them are further upset but decide to wait it out.
Meanwhile in Mumbai Pallavi tells Bhushan and Neeraja her version of the Pallavi vs. the Agarwals story and updates them. Neeraja says that sometimes it is not the people but the time that is bad and Bhushan says that different people have different perspectives on things. Bhushan then tells Pallavi that Samir will be a bit late because he's gone to a business meeting in Pune with Shruti. Pallavi is thrilled with the news that Shruti and Samir are working closely and OURRRRRRRRR in her head starts turning. Later Pallavi deliberately runs into Gayatri and tells her that she missed her at dinner the previous night. She then says that she wanted to take Gayatri and Samir out to lunch but then she found out that Samir and Shruti have gone to Pune. Gayatri is shocked on hearing this and covers up the fact that things aren't all that good with her and Samir at the moment. Pallavi gets devious and does her thing by planting suspicion in Gayatri's mind about Samir and Shruti. Gayatri is seriously muffled by this and Pallavi walks away having achieved success in causing apparent friction between Gayatri and Shruti.
On the next Kahaani
Pallavi continues formulating her little schemes that mount up to the climatic revelation of the baby mix. Meanwhile Shruti is delayed in Pune with Samir causing both Parvati's anger toward Shruti and Gayatri's suspicion toward Samir and Shruti.
