Meet the small screen Jodhaa!
Rajkumari Bhoomi of Raja ki Aayegi Baraat played by Kanika Maheshwari recently shot for a special sequence where she got to wear some of the costumes worn by Aishwarya Rai in the Bollywood Jodhaa Akbar. These costumes were specially designed by famous designer Neeta Lulla.
"I shot for two wedding sequences with these costumes - one for my marriage and another when Yudhistir was getting married," says Kanika. Aishwarya had worn these costumes for two song sequences in the movie.
However carrying such a heavy out fit was not easy for Kanika. She says she took about 2 hours to get ready.
"It had heavy work and was heavy to wear too. Carrying such costumes becomes a difficult task as you have to take special care of them as they are expensive too. Costumes with make-up and hair were hard to handle," sighs Kanika.
Kanika has seen Jodhaa Akbar and she feels it's a great and beautiful movie. Impressed by Jodha's character, she says "I would love to play a remarkable character like hers," smiles the star.
