^ not hating on india or anything, but india is now starting to improve where as other countries were already much improved..
also, you cannot go an live in some country based on the pics of technology advancements..
you have to look at the healthcare and stuff too..
im from canada, and we have one of the best health care systems, thats why people come to live here. and we if we wanna talks about beauty and stuff, vancouver has been said to be the best place on earth..just saying..
and india, agree its a really good country, and while its improving, it still has a long way to go. its still a 3'rd world country..
i agree that india can become one of the top countries of the world if only it improves a number of things, which i think wont be happening anytime soon because of the recession..

No doubt india is still ver much developing. But there is a big mistake in your post that I thought I'd point out. It was something I learnt in Grade 8 geography classes which I never forget and I'm hoping you won't either. India is no longer a third world country, it is a developing country.😉
As far as I know, no idiot is gonna leave their country to live in a foreign place just by looking at 'modern buildings and technology advancements' lol.
I've been to vancouver as a kid and I don't remember that much but yes from what I do remember, it's a pretty country with quite a few breathtaking sites. At the same time I have also been to India a number of times and i'm not gonna lie, i've seen the slums, the roadworks, the poverty but i've also seen the side which you've probably never seen. I am NO fan of nature and all that kinda stuff but in a country like India if you visit the hill stations, nature has been preserved soo well that hell even I was a fan of it for a while. :P From matheran to mahabhaleshwar to mount abu etc, there's no public transport there at all to preserve it's natural surroundings yet the tourists there increase by huge numbers every year.
My grabdparents have a much much better life there then they would here because they can take everything easy. My nana can go to work early in the morning, come back in the afternoon for an afternoon nap and lunch made by our maid as well as all clothes etc being washed by the maid-so basically pretty much tension free) and then go back to work after for a bit too.😉The only downside is the humidity, but that's what we all complain about here that we never have sun😛For an average indian, who can afford all that stuff there, life is a lot easier than the hustle bustle down here. And I study economics and in this recession, there are so many more job opportunities back home compared to the 10+ million job losses here.
According to the BBC news down here, majority of eastern european immigrants have returned back to their homes where job opportunities have increased for them and decreased over here. According to NDTV news, the indian immigrants numbers who are returning back home are on the rise too. (I'm guessing they mean people who have come here for studies and will probably end up going back to India after studies)
