Hi Rajnish,
Very nice to see a post from you. Hope you are doing well in the new place.
Regarding quarrels, I believe that the problems have been taken care of.
Regarding Sita, even though she is angry with me, I must not ignore the truth. By seeing her posts, I can say that, by heart, she is a very nice person. It is just that she is very sentimental and her sentiments have been hurt. I did not try to hurt her or anybody, but I think I may have done it - though, of course, inadvertently.
Her contributions to this forum are second to none. She put her heart and soul into it. Her updates were always so lively. But, being a coolbie, she never had as much power as the duties. That also is one reason she felt hurt - because she felt that her contributions were not appreciated enough.
I believe that coolbies and videobies should have the authority to make a thread sticky/non-sticky. But they do not have. And, it is not in my hand to give this power to them.
Regarding appreciation, I always appreciated Sita for the hard work she put - but most of times, the appreciations were in my heart and I did not express those into words. Perhaps I should have.
There were threads in which some members expressed anger on her. But, it is also true that in the same threads, Sita had also expressed anger on other members. So, if I had taken action against one and not another, it would have meant being biased and thus unfair. It often happens that when two people fight, then each one thinks that the other is wrong. So both call the arbitrating authority as biased even if he is not.
Now, let us come to the comparisons. I do not blame the members who did comparisons before "no comparisons" rule were made. After all, at that time, comparisons were not banned, so how can I blame if somebody did the comparisons? Even after the rule was made, if some new members did it the first time, then it is possible that they did it unintentionally. So, I believe in telling them that comparisons are not allowed. But, if they do it again, then ofcourse, action should be taken.
It is the rule (not only in Ramayan forum), but throughout IF, that actors should not be bashed. However, what is bashing according to one member may just be expressing opinions in a positive way for another. That is why, it is good that comparisons have been banned altogether.
I hope that all members will continue to maintain peace in the forum.
