FF: You..love me? chp.11-page 17

Hola peoples!

This is my attempt at a short story, which is now an FF. I hope you all enjoy it.

Chapter 1:

It was my first day at Copperfield High School. New faces, and new friends. I was unbelievably nervous as I took my first step forward and entered the scary looking high school. Immediately, a student stepped in front of me, with a huge grin on his face.

"Hi! You must be Bani Dixit! I'm Pushkar! It's a pleasure to meet you! Do you need help getting to your next class?"

"That's okay, I think I got it." I told him, hoping he'd leave me alone. And so he did.

I found my first class-Literature, Building 2, room 410.

I took the one seat available'next to the most gorgeous man in the room! To my great disbelief'it was Jai! Noooooooo!

I practically shrieked. He saw me and smirked and I glared at him while scowling. The one person I hated just had to be in the same class as me! Great!

"Bani? Is that you?" he asked me. His voice was so nice and soothing..snap out of it Bani! What do you think your doing!!

"Yes." Was all I could say. He didn't stop looking at me for the rest of the period.

When class ended I saw him leaving with his arm wrapped around a girl named Lauren's waist. The only thing me and him had in common now was that we both came from Indian heritages.

I hated him so much. Why? Because he left me as if I were a worthless piece of trash the minute he gained popularity! Stupid quarterback of the football team!

He didn't just do that! He also killed my beloved Jai! The one that I loved! The one that was mine!

I shoved this out of my mind as I walked to history, then lunch. Oh God! Arre Bhagvan! What should I do?? Where do I sit?!

I just stood there, starring at everyone. Jai was busy making out with Lauren and other girls gathered around him. I was disgusted and started walking angrily and in a quick pace. I was just about to fall'the klutz I was. I embraced for the fall, but the floor never reached me. Instead, I felt two strong, muscular arms around my waist, protecting me.

I looked up knowing that I was blushing like crazy and saw Jai there, smiling at me.

"Same old Bani, huh?"

I scowled and quickly walked away the minute he let go.

Why, oh, why did he have to be so outrageously gorgeous?!

Chapter 2:

Bani's Point-of-view:

On my way home, i bumped into my best friend.

"Bani! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! guess what!? I'm getting married!!!!!!!" She shrieked at me at the top of her lungs.

"Are you serious? Oh my God! I am soo happy for you di!!!" I shrieked back and pulled her into a hug. i was really happy for her, after all, she deserved someone wonderful in her life.

She pulled me into her house, which was right next to me. unfortunately, her little brother was Jai, who was obviously home with his arrogant buddies and bimbo girlfriend.

"Umm...Divs..i don't think this is the best idea." i said, but she kept on pulling me.

"Hello Aunty ji." I said politely to her mother who was running her dance class. the Walias were really rich, and had plenty of room to do these kind of things. the dance girls were starring at me meanly, then turned their gaze towards Jai, his friends,and his girlfriend sitting on his lap and putting a chip in his mouth.

Grose!

i payed them no attention. Divs left me and told me to take the one empty seat on the couch next to Jai and nearly pushed me there.

i sat as far away from him as i could, but i could feel his eyes on me.

Lauren spoke up. "Baby, why are you starring at that ugly freak? look at me." She whined. i frowned. Lauren was getting on my nerves.

I still didnt look at them though, and just silently waited for Divs to arrive. In the mean time, Aunty ji made some small talk with me.

"So, darling, how are you these days? i havent seen you in a while."

"I'm fine. How are you?"

"Great! I am sure Divya told you the good news!?"

"Yes. i would love to meet him."

"Oh, i am sure she just went to fetch him right now."

"Great."

Stupid Jai! Would he just stop starring at me already?!! it was making me self-concious.

Divya finally came back, but with a suitace instead of her fiance.

"What's that?" i questioned her.

"Your clothes and everything else you need for the weekend! your staying over!!"

I opened my mouth to protest, but she covered it and ranted on about how i had no choice in the matter. Oh no.

this meant:
1.I have to spend a weekend with Jai
2.I have to put up with his obnoxious friends and Lauren
3. worst of all---'Bani Dressing up time'---knowing Divs, she is going to spend three hours on dressing me up for something as simple as going to the movie
