Sony Trying to Ensure Neha's Entry

I was just going through the contestants listing on Indian Idol's official website.

Here's the list of contestants for group 2 of the piano round:

1. Neha Kakkar
2. Abha
3. Dilpreet
4. Ritu (Pinky)
5. Renuka Deshpande

I dont know about you guys but this obviously seems a way to make sure that Neha Kakkar makes it to the top 12. Same goes for Ritu (pinky) too.

Lekha Desai
Antara Mitra
Meenal Jain
Jolly Das
Sandipa Dutta
Jyotsna
Saberi

The contestants are not evenly distributed. The group 4 contestants are all extremely good and its going to difficult to choose from them. Meenal stands a good chance of getting in. For those who dont know..she's already an established singer. She's done a few remix albums and a movie called Sehar. Lekha has already made a reputation for herself so far. So the real competition is going to be between the other 5.

Although most of what I have said is solely based on assumptions I've made based on what I have seen so far, I feel that group 2 list is unfair and clearly aimed at getting Neha Kakkar in the top 12. That is what has been happening so far. Otherwise, with the performances she turned in during the theatre rounds were good enough to throw her out of the contest. Especially after the jarring performance she gave during the duet round.

People who like Neha Kakkar, I hope you take no offence to this. This is solely based on what I feel. :)

You could be right but I thought there are 14 girls, then there should be 2 more in group 2. I dont see Monali and Yeshashree in any group.
The small girl Renuka does not stand much of a chance I feel.

Well Neha is up against some tough competition. Monali's very good, Dilpreet can sing circles around most of the girls, Renuka is somewhat like Lekha & Aabha too is pretty much popular & we all know how popular TPDQ(The Pink Drama Queen) Ritu.

As for Group 4
Lekha doesnt have much of a chance, since she wont appeal to everyone, Meenal...Well I dont know...She can get far......Antra is very popular too, she can easily make it..Jolly is good from what I have heard from her...Sabberi is going to be hyped by Sonu to no end...Jyotsna & Sandipa have to give showstoppers because the others are really good....

Monali and Yeshashee are in Neha's group.

My fav among grp 2 is Dilpreet....

I think Dipreet Abha & monali will make thru....Ritu & Neha will make tough competetion to them...

I donno wht will be the result...but I wish Dilpreet will make thru & also Abha too since she is also popualr liek Sagar....

Since Khitij become out today I think monali also will be out thsi time...& so either neha or ritu will make thru...

From thsi forum I think Neha & abha become so much popular than anyone else...Its becoz of Sony's showing clips...I think Dipreet is most deserving one wht u say?
She looks like Rani mukherjee for me...her eyes & all..the nose makng her difference...otehrwise there is some similarity with rani...

If Karunya can be compared to Abhishek then she should also be comapred to Rani mukherjee...

Nikky, I hope really hope they dont. To be honest, I liked Neha first when I heard her first audition. I thought she was top 28 material if not top 12. But after her performance at the theatre round, I was sure that she wouldnt make it to top 28. But it was shocking to see that inspite of all the brickbats she got from all the judgest, she still made it. And to be honest, her singing was literally a "hair-tearing" experience for me. Her voice has no tonal quality whatsoever.

But Sony is definately trying to push her. It is pretty evident from her grouping. Why otherwise wasnt she put in the group of complete heavyweights like Meenal, Lekha and Antara. Becuz with those girls in competition, she stands no chance. In her current group, I see Aabha as one who stands a 99.9% chance of making it. Followed by Dilpreet who has mass appeal in her voice. So the competition is between Neha, Ritu(pinky), and Renuka. Who do u think out of the three will win?

LOL. I think just disqualification on the basis of being drama queens and lack of talent would be fine.
