two wrongs don't make a right

as a great man once said, "two wrongs don't make a right", and i absolutely believe that. yes, it is true that double standard on women still exist in society today, and to be honest, not just in a conservative society like the one india, but in western countries too. i live in america, and i have to say, that though women here do have a lot more freedom, and the double-standard isn't as strong on women as it is in india, it still does exist. but anyways, back to my point, which is "two wrongs don't make a right". what the husband in this show is doing is absolutely repulsive and demeaning, but if the wife then later on goes on to do the samething, how does it make whatever she's doing any less repulsive? granted, the woman does get called a "slut" for it while the man doesn't, doesn't make the woman's actions right or any less wrong. from the way i see it, they're both equally wrong. now am i saying, a woman then should just continue enduring the pain and accept her husband anyway...? HECK NO. i'm a woman myself, and what type of a woman would i be if i agreed to such a thing. my answer is that if a spouse, no matter if he/she is a man or a woman, if they feel they don't have it in them to forgive the illicit affair(s) of their spousal counterpart, then they should "free" themselves from the relationship all together. they should get a divorce, and hopefully will be lucky in love the second time. but they do NOT however now have a free ticket to commit the same illicit affair their spousal counterpart have done whether its out of revenge or out of love or lust for the person they're having an affair with, and call it morally right. so the way i see it, BOTH the husband and the wife of this show are equally wrong here. that's all...

see the way i see it, specifically in this case, the girl wont be wrong when she starts having an affair. why? because i think when a woman marries a man, she doesnt marry him, but his entire family. in this case, aradhana has done that, she has completely made the guy's family her own; because her husband is cheating on her and not caring about her one bit, how can she leave the family which she considers her own now for 10 long years??

when a girl leaves the house where she was born and the parents who loves her to be with her husband, can't she leave the house where she stayed for 10 years for her self respect.

If she loves the family and is staying for the family then she must stay just with them and not have an extra affair by the side to entertain her and hurt the the family member. By hurting them she is proving that she doesnot care about them.

^True; but she's always upkept her responsibilities towards the families and her husbands without ever asking for anything in return. Does she not get a shot at happiness?

n i dont think they'll just show her having an affair, it will be a tough inner struggle, whcih if potrayed right, will make sense..

Even I was thinking that two wrong doesnt make right. What I strongly believe is that marriage means commitment for the life time. And if one partner breaks that commitment, the other partner cannot go on pretending for a long time that things will be ok and I have the family to look after. If the relationship is giving you pain throughout its better to say quit than keep on lingering and suffering. After divorce, you have full rights to have another affair and its nobodies business then , morally ,socially(even if u dont care a damn) and mentally its right without any bond attached.

But the bottom line is not to show whether the girl is doing right/wrong, it's to show the double standard of the society.... I hate Extra Marital Affairs and m not gonna support anything related to this....I will not like the step of Aradhana's as well....But I will hate it if tht f*****g Shailendra gets escaped from being questioned and Aradhana will be stuck to answer to to her in-laws😡I have a guts feeling that her Mom-in-law will be helping her to get divorced from her spoilt brat and will help aradhana....I want divorce, not EMA😡😡

A woman has FULL right to get her happiness...but before that, divorce is a MUST😡😡

What u said is absoutely right but i think here the situation will be totally different. Its not like she gets to know abt hubbies affair nd goes out and starts having affairs on re-bound.

This is absolutely wrong in my dictionary ! I mean, a man cheats his wife for LONG 9-10 yrs, and suddenly when he discovers his wife's infidelity, he decides to 'sudhraofy' huh !🤢 Shailendra is not a bacha who's doing this unintentionally....mistakes can be of 1 day/1 month/ max 1 yr....but if u repeat same mistake 1000000000 times, it's crime😡😡

And Shailendra doesnt deserve to be forgiven by his wife even if he realises his crime😡😡he should be punished😡😡

its a way how u see it n how u take it whe n she gets ditched by her own hubby for whom she sacrificed everything nurturing his family as her own n when gets ditched da first frdship hand offered is like a man drowning n gets sm kind of wood to hold psychological dilemma is too much at dat time so no one can decide abt her feelings n double standards is just not da owrd to be used
