| Sanjay Dutt is hopping mad at the political and judicial system of India as it has been passively dealing with the terror attacks on Mumbai for a good 15 years. "Mumbai was first attacked in 1993 and since then terror attacks have been common! What are we doing? I am not saying waging a war against someone is the answer but the authorities have to stand up and take the responsibility of our people's security. Protection should not just be given to celebrities and politicians but also the common man who travels in trains and buses. How is it possible for a few terrorists to just barge into the city and hold the entire of South Mumbai for ransom? The places that were attacked boast of having sufficient security" said Sanjay Dutt expressing his anger and frustration at the system. When questioned about him being accused in the 93 blasts he retorted, "I cannot comment on this much since the case is subjudice but I have been going through this interrogation for almost 10 years and do I look like a terrorist? The only relief that I have had is the fact that they removed me from the TADA jail, this was a relief for me and my family, as carrying a baggage of being accused of something as harsh as this is unbearable." So will Sanju stop promoting Gandhigari? "I don't know if Gandhigiri would be effective to deal with the current lot of hi-fi terrorists who are well equipped with modern artillery. That's why even in Lagey RahoMunnabhai, there was a scene where someone slaps Munna thrice and Munna returns his slap saying, Gandhi said if someone slaps you once you show another cheek but he didn't say what would you do if he slaps you twice!" Seems like Sanjay Dutt is in no mood to preach or promote Gandhigiri, though he might be known as the torch bearer of Bapu's beliefs post Lage Raho. |
