There will be no pundit or qazi at the wedding on December 14 at Grand Hyatt, Santa Cruz, in Mumbai.
As learnt from Mid-Day, Fardeen and Natasha will have a registered wedding. There will be no Hindu or Muslim rites during the ceremony.
Feroze Khan , Fardeen's father and a filmmaker, is quoted as saying that Natasha's father – business tycoon Mayur Madhvani – will walk the bride up the aisle. Khan added that his entire family believes that all religions are one and there is one God.
The decision to have a non-traditional wedding has come from Natasha and Fardeen. Both are very progressive minded.
Before the wedding, there will be sangeet ceremony at Juhu's J W Marriott hotel on December 13. Preparations are already believed to be in full swing for the event. It is learnt that the two families are putting up a special audio-visual presentation.
After the wedding, there will be a grand reception at Grand Hyatt (Santa Cruz) on December 16.
A great number of Bollywood celebrities will be there at the Sangeet and Reception.
Fardeen's sister Laila Khan, a painter, has designed Fardeen's wedding card.
