Yelloooooo ppl!

I was thinking, indian dramas have the same saas-bahu storylines, or someone or the other kills someone and they come back to life 😳
But what other storylines would you like to see? Be KS or just general..
It would be nice to see taboo subjects tackled.. one drama i watched once had the step brother and sister lovin eachother but they never knew they were family till the parents decided to have a family dinner.. it was weird but interesting at the same time.. Probs cuz of the way it was portrayed.. 🤔
now to convert that to KS terms that wud mean AW to fall for one of his sisters... for some reason that didnt sound so good 😆 but you get what i am tryin to say..
What storylines would you like to see - please think outside the box, i think indian telly is a little monotonous at times.. so if something out the ordinary happened it would spice it up again.. but hey it may just be me and my thoughts.
BTW im not sayin indian telly is terrible, but just sayin how it could take a new direction esp when bollywood is changing..

Hi Henna....been a long time....how are you doing?

I think your idea of AW falling in love with one of her own sisters is a bit cheesy from Indian society perspective. I can't imagine my mom appreciating that 😊. I wonder what will be the fate of that relationship!

Well, a healthy, innocent, loving romance will always sell in Indian market....what else sells is child-parent relationship. Focusing on the later, I would like to see a show that deals with a beautiful relationship between parents and their children, complicated with day-to-day problems faced by parents and kids in general and how they deal with them.........I want the characters to grow slowly so that they age with the show and not through leaps. This way adults as well as kids will be able to relate with the show and will look forward to seeing it every night. In my imagination, it's looking pretty good!!

Also, I would be happy if they have a few well defined characters that do not change with change in TRPs and the story/script should be well written in advance.

Thanks,
Anjali

I would love to see shows where you have the usual dose of drama, but with a touch of realism. Characters like Bani and other heroines, tend to become unrealistic after a while, when they are shown as epitomes of goodness, without any kind of negative or even normal traits and who sacrifice and forgive at the drop of a hat!
Why not show them as normal people, why not move the plot without making the heroines look like they are from a parallel universe! I mean, which sister would whole-heartedly forgive another sister who tried to steal her husband, who wanted her dead!? And I really don't understand the serials wanting to make the heroes look like they can't think for themselves, who suspect their wives as easily as they drink water! And this is not just K-serials!
But to be fair to producers, when they think outside the box, the audience many a times don't support them. The TRPs are the killers which make many of the producers take the tried and tested path! I cannot imagine a serial like Desperate Housewives on Indian telly!
So, I would like to say that for me, the first step would be to show the current shows with realism in the characters and relationships. For example, why always make the wife hide things from the husband and try to solve the problems of the world herself. In a real and normal world, the wife would talk to the husband and they would deal with the issues together. The producers should try and move the story forward without resorting to the husband suspecting the wife, the wife sacrificing to the extent of looking ridiculous and generally making the problems shown look unrealistic.

I just want a storyline in which all three sisters are the main characters again. Ever since Aparajit Dev left, the writers could not move away from Bani, and she became the main character. With Pia back and Veer coming, I hope they show how Bani is affected but also how Pia is torn between her love toward Veer and her sisters. I just want to see the obstacles and problems that three sisters tackled together.

Hey henna,

AW falling fro Krishna, that's a bit too weird!!!! But as you said about the love story between step-brother and sister seems interesting (I hope you have read Mt' The outsider, a beautiful story)

I would love to see something on the lines of Desperate Housewives (as somebody posted above), Sex and the City, Friends, Comedy in a refined way like Sarabahi vs Sarabhai, not like Baa, bahu aur Baby.

For once I would like to see bani as normal human being unlike in her God-like avatar; she should feel uncomfortable with Veer around.

God bless

Dhani

Ahhh... this is what I like to see - encouragement of creative ideas, and outta the box thinking 😃 Well brother, my thinking has never been in the box in the first place!
Atharva falling for any of his sisters would be absolutely terrible - the show has had enough disgusting storylines as it is with Walia producing kids with multiple women that all seem to be a fraction of his age... and so having any more tracks based on unacceptable relationships would be aweful 👍🏼
What I think is needed is a track where a hero can step in and guide the lead characters like Bani, Jigyasa, and some of the Generation next characters, and take them to the peak of success and world domination! Of course, the only character that can do such a heroic deed like that is the man, the myth, the legend... Stevie 👍🏼
If the Stevie character was brought into the show, there would be limitless potential for great stories... and so the show would NOT have to go back to tracks involving affairs, child production, illegit relationships, and stuff like that.
Stevie rulessssssssssssssssssssssssssssss 👍🏼
God bless.
