Branson falls at Priyanka's feet!

In an unheard-of gesture of adoration for a Bollywood queen, British billionaire Richard Branson fell at Priyanka Chopra's feet, in full view of

the august gathering at an event in Dubai recently.

Branson fell on his knees to tell Priyanka, "You're the only woman worthy of being called a goddess.You're the most beautiful woman in the world." She was at first aghast and then pleasantly flattered by this public display of affection. Laughed Priyanka. "Yes, the incident with Branson really happened. He was just being sweet and chivalrous. I didn't know how to react. I gathered my wits and said a calm 'Thank you'.

apparently flooded Priyanka with compliments and even asked her to do a film with him. Sharing the Bollywood platform with Priyanka were Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar, Rani Mukerji and Yash Chopra. Also present were international biggies including Robert de Niro, Kylie Minogue, Lindsay Lohan, Gerard Butler and Wesley Snipes.

About De Niro, Priyanka just couldn't stop gushing. She said, "He is De Niro, man! He just kept smiling. His wife spoke more than him. He said he was very happy to meet what he called young talent from Bollywood."
What made her really proud was that Shah Rukh Khan had the largest suite in the hotel. "It was the 10,000 square foot suite. How cool was that! Imagine with celebs like de Niro and Michael Jordan in the hotel, our own SRK gets the largest room. I was very proud of SRK and our cinema," said the Fashion queen, who was dressed at the party in all finery looking like Cleopatra of the new age.

SRK hosted an after party in his suite where he invited celebs like Kylie Minogue, Natalie Imbruglia, Wesley Snipes, Gerard Butler, Robert De Niro and Richard Branson. "Yes these people whom you mentioned were all in Shah Rukh's room. He's the ultimate," said Priyanka.

i think it was at this recent dubai event , where she was on red carpet in that golden color dress. I guess he was floored by her beauty!

November 22, 2008, (Sawf News) - Priyanka Chopra looked resplendent at the 1.5-billion-dollar "Atlantis, The Palm" hotel's $20 million bash on November 20 in Dubai, UAE. The 26-year-old Bollywood actress wore a form hugging golden yellow floor length satin dress with a single jeweled shoulder, vertically pleated bodice and bandage torso (quite Herve Leger style!).

She accessorized with golden heels, a glittery box clutch, tear drop earrings and a chunky watch in her right hand. Her dark layered cut hair was styled in a side ponytail. She woe smoky eye makeup and light lip color.

Chopra unveiled a spectacular fireworks display, designed and executed by the Grucci's, lighting up 43 km of palm shaped shoreline and illuminating the entire island with more than 100,000 specially-designed pyrotechnic devices. More than 2,000 world celebrities were invited to the event, organized by Sol Kerzner, the South African billionaire, hotel and gambling tycoon, which began Thursday night and continued into Friday. Named "party of the decade" by the local press, the event was attended by Hollywood stars Robert de Niro, Charlize Theron, Mischa Barton and Wesley Snipes, singers Kylie Minogue, Lilly Allen and Janet Jackson, Shirley Bassey, and catwalk model Yasmin Le Bon. Bollywood attendees included Rani Mukerji, Preity Zinta, Mallika Sherawat, Bipasha Basu and John Abraham, Arjun Rampal and Mehr Jessia. The 1,539-room hotel is made up of two pale rose towers, which are linked by a bridge which houses a $35,000 a night suite that has a long waiting list, according to the management. "We built something that's quite extraordinary. We've got to tell the world about it," Kerzner told AFP about the lavish hotel. The hotel opened unofficially on September 24 and has had an occupancy rate of 80 percent, Kerzner said. "We don't know how long it's going to take for the economy around the world to take off again," he added. The Dubai hotel is inspired by the original Atlantis that Kerzner built in the Bahamas but is not an average 5-star hotel. It boasts the largest waterpark in the Middle East and a gigantic aquarium in which 65,000 fish, along with an enormous whale shark, swim in 11 million litres of water. The financial concerns about the crisis on the emirate's economy were put aside on Thursday night for the memorable party in this Muslim, yet very open, emirate, where local dignitaries in traditional white tunics, and women in black cover-all abayas mingled with women in fashionable revealing dresses, while alcohol flowed like water.

Fireworks which were said by organizers to be seven times larger than this year's Olympic Games opening ceremony in Beijing, lit up the sky along the sea front of Dubai, erupting from every branch of the palm island.
