why do her children call her Jasubhen?

that's her name right, so why does her daughter and son call her by name? is that a gujrati custom or something???? orry I'm a little confused 😕

It is not cleared about that yet. From the first episode everyone call her with her name.

is that not strange, specially in a gujrati family where everyone calles eachother as bhai or behen ect.... i know they call er Jasubhen but still?

its not a custom or anything. gujaratis dont call eachother bhai or ben. its just that if another person is not in any sort of relation like mama, chacha, chachi, etc. , out of respect just a bhai or ben is added, just like u add 'ji' in hindi. of course u also call ur own brother and sis bhai and ben respectively.

I also calling my mother's father "Motabhai" insted of "Nana" because everybody was calling him Motabhai when i was child because he was elder in his family. same my nephew call his father "daddy" and his uncle "papa" because his cousin was calling his father "papa"
