It is essentially a Punjabi ritual, where the maternal uncle makes the bride wear the Choodha on the day of the wedding!
Forget these silly serials, these girls wear Choodha as a fashion statement because it looks good with a Bridal lehenga!.
Also it is said that a married girl should wear the Chooda for least a month...They can wear the whole 24 bangles in the chooda or just few.....but it should be worn at least for a month..... It is bad sign...if not worn for a month......
