Arjun Rampal seems to taking his role of Nach Baliye judge very seriously. And like his contestants, he too is preparing for the show. Confused? Let Arjun clear it up for you.
"Yes I have done my homework for Nach Baliye. When I decided to do this show, I went and bought different DVDs for different dance forms so that I could learn various aspects so many dance forms. I am not a superb or mind-blowing dancer. So these DVDs are helping me in judging now."
"I do not know every dance form and when you have to judge and you have taken that responsibility then it is compulsory for you to have knowledge about them. You need to know how many forms are there, how salsa should be performed or how one should do jive. I have seen DVDs of bharatnatayam and kathakali. I have learnt so many new things about it after watching those DVDs," adds Rampal.
Arjun says his main focus of judging is how the contestants have chosen their costumes - is it going with their dance form or it is troubling them? Like last time when Reshmii Ghosh and her beau Amit Gupta performed on salsa in the show, Reshmii wore flat shoes and it was Arjun who pointed it out by saying that salsa cannot be performed with flat footwear and it must be performed with high heels to get the right postures and steps in your performance.
Arjun is the third judge on Nach Baliye along with Karisma Kapoor and Farah Khan.
