Rithisha Padmanabh is a child prodigy with an enormous potential, embedded with aesthetic creativity which is the hallmark of her capacity.
Today Rithisha has grown to such a height in the field of music through her sweet and silky voice which has the magnetic timbre to attract the music connoisseurs irrespective of their age.
When Rithisha came to me to learn Sugama Sangeetha, she was a 4-year-old child who would never open her mouth except for singing! At that age, she did not know how to read the lyrics of the songs written in Kannada. So I used to orally explain the meaning of the words in the song to her. She used to learn the song just through her raaga jnana, memorize the lyrics and present the song to me perfectly in the next class! Even at that tender age, Rithisha was determined that she should learn and sing well. It is that will power and desire to succeed that has grown up along with her and has brought her to this level today.
Rithisha is a sober and well cultured girl having high regards to the Guru. Her grasping capability is astonishing. I am proud that today Rithisha has completely unfurled like a lotus in the pond of music.
Teacher is everything to her. Teacher is a role model to her. I am glad that she has lot of respect coated with abundant love towards me. As a teacher, I have taught her all the ingredients of music. But her dedication, devotion and penance of practice has made her achieve this national recognition.
I am proud to call Rithisha my student and even today she has the same respect towards me. She calls me MalathiAunty, not teacher. I adore her like my own daughter.
May Rithi reach the pinnacle of success and glory! God bless her!
