Manasi steps into Roshni's shoes

Ekta Kapoor's Kasamh Se will see a new face soon. Manasi Varma is replacing Roshni Chopra as Pia in the show.

The buzz is that Roshni did not want to continue with the show as it was going through a leap.

Manasi is excited about her new role. " I'm very happy doing the role. Besides, it's homecoming for me. My first show was Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki with the same production house." About Roshni quitting the show, she says, "I was told that she has opted out of the serial because she is busy with other commitments."

Stepping into another actress's shoes is never easy after a particular person has been portraying the character for a long time and Manasi's well aware of that. "I know it's going to be difficult for the audiences initially because they are used to seeing Roshni as Pia. But I'm sure soon they'll get used to me too," she smiles.
Past couple of years Manasi hasn't been seen in family dramas. Was it a conscious decision? "Not really. But, I have always been particular about the kind of roles I take up. They may have been family dramas but my characters have always been quite different."

For now, the actress is all geared up to portray Pia, which incidentally is going to be a positive character.
