Most of the parts of Ramayan are just synonymous to these words'.

Write from starting'.one could see how these two emotions flow in Ramayana the Great Epic'

If we take it from Start'..

It starts with the pain of King Dhashratha and his wives'..the Great king who had every pleasure 'but'still sad with the fact that he is child less..

And as the thing moves on'..whole epic seems to be in grip of these words.

Even the lord himself could not escape.. from this..

The Manka 108 of Ramayan even start with these lines

BHEED PADI PRABHU BHAKT PUKARE DHOOR KARO PRABHU DUKH HAMARE, DASHRATH KAY GHAR JANME RAM'

In Ramayan Lord Himself portrayed the sufferings which Human goes through...and here by showing the way to Human Race...to cope up with any kind of harsh situation...

In a way Ramayan is a Great Example Setter How to live a life'.

In Bhaghwath Purana...it is said that we can't follow Krishnaji and Shivji.. that how to live a life'but when in come to Lord Rama he is a perfect one to guide us the way of live life'

He as Human Being portrayed the pains and sacrifices.. so well..and it can be feel from these examples very well.

Sacrifice of Throne- To fulfill his Father's wish he sacrifice. the whole kingdom and accepted the exile of 14 years Happily

Pain of Rishi Munis- When he saw the bones of Sages whom Demons have killed.

He could not stop his tears and take the vow of killing all the Rakshas.

Virah of Sita's Abduction- As a caring, dutiful Husband he bear the pain of sepration from wife.By this Virah of Lord Rama' Godess Gauri carried away so much that she doubted whether he is a God himself or any other normal Human Being.

Caring Brother- When Lakshman got unconscious during war against Inderjeet. Rama cried helplessly for his brother. Depicting the picture that even God can be helpless when he has to portrait as Human Being' In a way of guiding that we cannot be as supreme..from God what ever the heights of success we achieve. All the arrogance and pride of Human Being can get dissolved some of the harsh situation of life.

Sita's Banishment- As a dutiful King he needs to Banish His wife. For whom he fought against the greatest devil of earth, need to sacrifice her as a duty of King towards his subject. king's duty overpowers the suffering of husband .A perfect example for the people for their attitude and aptitude towards the responsibility and duty of life.

Not only Lord others character of Ramayan like Sita, Dashrath, Bharat, Lakshman, Hanuman and many other characters are great exemplary of the emotions....
The pain they suffered and sacrifices they have been through are portrayed so well by Valmikiji in the epic Ramayan....that they actually embellish the great Epic...
Ppl..are so emotionally attached with this epic that many Versions of Ramayana can be seen by other Great poets in different time periods

I hope we will discuss the various sacrifice and pains which all The Ramayan characters has been through... and could analyze them which gonna help us understand the depth of Ramayan even better.

Personally for me Ramayn is a pool of emotions which no other Epic has... i really love tro discuss on particular subject of Ramayan...thanks Sita for suggesting it as DOTW

I like this DOTW!!! It's quite different in its aspect. Personally I feel u r correct about the Bhagawad Purana vs. Ramayana....but one should also take into consideration the different Yugs Lords Vishnu took birth in for us to consider the ways of life to be followed by humans!!!! But even in the Bhagavad Gita....Shri Krishna tells us that two wrongs will not make a right...but if there is being done wrong to you or any1, where your rights are taken away, take action against that wrong!! And that was in Dwarpa Yug....He did not teach them to sacrifice!!!!! Basically an EYE FOR AN EYE situation...

When our beloved Ramji had wrong done to HIM, from Kaikeya mata, He already knew that it was going to happen as part of fate...because ultimately HIS purpose on earth was to destroy demon king ravan!!!! & this was a way to achieve a mean to an end!!!!! Which is y he did take the proposal of Kaikeya mata, & to fulfill his Father's promise towards Kaikeya mata!!!!! In the Treta yug, Lord Ram taught us to learn to Sacrifice.....

If in Treta yug he took as Lord Ram...he had many followers & believers that Ram was the incarnation of Lord Vishnu...from his subjects to his family, Rushi Munis..& even after some time Rakshas family also became aware of HIS being as the Lord himself.....Now if we consider the Dwarapa yug...Shri Krishna had many followers but just as many ppl who did not beleive HE was the LORd....for ex. Duryodhan & his brothers!!!!!! So as time goes by it does get worse....which we as the Kal Yug genre can admit without hesitating!!!! Even in the last Ramayan...when Ramji is shown to assume his True Form....he tells Hanumanji that he shall reside on earth till the end of Kal Yug since times will get harsh & devotees will even have a hard time following the virtuous path.....& further on goes to state that Hanumanji will be here to support the true devotees & basically guide us that just by doint THE LORD's Jaap...we can attain true salvation (more so b/c times are bad for us then it was during Treta & Dwarpa yug).....

From what I can make out from both teachings, is that sometimes a Sacrifice is in disguise for an ultimate purpose....& sometimes Fighting for what's rightfully ours or Fighting for whats right is following the right path.....vs. letting wrong just happen
Sincerely apologize for making this wrong....but i really like this DOTW & it gave me a perfect chance to say what i think & get a response.....
Now this is just my understanding...& if I'm wrong or dont make sense in what i'm sense, please feel free to reply with ur POV....this is to any members!!!! 😊

thanks sam.

Ramayn is the most emotional story ever written n full of sacrifices n pain for Dharma sake. thus it teaches us to not to fear pain n not to do any Adharma to avoid hardhships. We cant follow Ramayan in toto becos we r human beings n human beings r not perfect. But Ramayn gives us inpiration to be unselfish

I definately come again with my POV

folks !!! i will start with the sacrifice & pain of RAJA DASHRATH !!!😊

RAJA DASHRATH who was such a dedicated & doted KING ,who always used to put his people (praja) before anything👏😛 .

he truly was a FATHER figure for the AYODHYA PPL!!!!😛

so KING DASHRATH scarificed his personal pleasures for his people !!!

i rememebr once the member camella posted a story abt king DASHRATH tht king DASHRATH lost his parents at an early age ,he became the KING OF AYODHYA at a tender age of 14 ,so at such tender age so many responsibilities were there on king DASHRATHS shoulders !!!!

the time when RAMJI got exile of 14 years ,at tht time king DASHRATH went thru hell in his life ,

he was totally shattered !!! he was so helpless !!!

he begged his wife kaieye like hell to take back her promises so tht RAMJI cud b stopped from going to the forests !!!

at tht time KING DASHRATH almost licked the floor clean for kaikeye ,he was ready to do any thing ,even he touched the feet of kaikeye to stop RAMJI-SITAJI & LAKSHMANJI from going thru exile !!! but he was failed in tht & finally he died !!!

all these scenes were very well !!! shown in the RAMAYAN !!!!

actor GURMEET & PANKAJ KALRA (DASHRATH) did so real acting !!!

i really cried with DASHRATHJI in the show ,we all felt the pain of DASHRATHJI in our hearts !!!!😭
