After the marriage Rani goes with Yudishter to her village for the kunwar kaleo ritual. Dadi and Sumitra are happy to see them. Munna is sad that Rani will leave them and go the palace forever. Yudishter and Rani try to cheer him up!

Wow, this sounds exciting. I guess, now happy times are in store for YuRa, atleast until CR starts her new game. Looking forward to seeing them in the village as a newly-married couple, Mr. & Mrs. Yudhister Shishodya. 😊

By the way, what is kunwar kaleo ritual?

Beena, I am glad that Bhoomi's parents were missing, as this means 2 less people's face to zoom at after every minute. It was so irritating that during the marriage, they were zooming at every character present, like after every few mintues. So less characters around, means we get to see more of YuRa onscreen. By the way, I did not see Munna at all in yesterday's episode.

Beena I think even bride's mother has a big role to play in the marriage rituals. Even though Amma was present, all she was doing is throwing flowers at YuRa and smiling at them.

I found this on a site:

RAJPUT WEDDING

The word 'Rajput' means king's son or Prince. Rajputs claim that they are the direct descendants of the Kshatriya clan, who were the original Aryans.

Rajput marriages have to be seen to be believed for their extravagance! Rajputs are a colourful race and marriages in this community are resplendent in colour, pomp and splendour and more often than not, very traditional.

Some common surnames:
Singh, Rathore, Chandels, Himmatsinghe, Rajpura

List of ceremonies:
1. Pili-Chithi : Written acceptance of the alliance sent to the bride's family
2. Mandap Aarohan : Erecting and decorating the 'mandap'
3. Haldi Ceremony : Beautifying the bride and preparing her for the wedding
4. Mehendi : Henna ceremony
5. Maira : The bride receives gifts from her maternal uncle
6. Padla : Gifts given by the groom's family are displayed
7. Baraat : The groom leaves for the wedding venue in a ceremonial procession
8. Saat pheras : The couple goes around the fire seven times taking their marriage vows
9. Kunwar Kaleo : The groom and his family arrive at the bride's home for a festive meal
10. Bidaai : Bridal send off
11. Mooh-Dikhai : Introducing the bride to her husband's family
12. Tilak : The bride's brother takes gifts for the groom's family
