Saurabh reels from the shock of elimination
Saurabh is in tears. He is still not over the shock of hearing that he will no longer sing on the Indian Idol stage, he will no longer do masti in the cafeteria with his friends and that he will no longer do riaaz with his voice trainer. "I waited so many years for this chance. This time I really thought I would be able to do something," he says, moments after his elimination. "Now I may never be able to fulfil my dad's dream." Excerpts from an interview: How do you feel? I feel a little lost. I really don't understand what just happened. Were you expecting this at all? No, not even in my wildest dreams. I never thought I would leave the Indian Idol stage this soon. What do you think went wrong? I don''t know. I gave a good performance. Kailashji and Sonali mam liked my performance. Annuji said it was a 50-50 one. Only Javedji had something negative to say. But even he did not criticise my singing—he only said that my song selection was bad. How was your experience on Indian Idol? It was really wonderful. I have spent some lovely days here. This experience is something that will stay with me all my life. Are you taking away anything special from this experience? I think I am a different singer now—my voice, my tone, my pronunciation, everything has changed. Indian Idol made me better my talent. Do you have any anecdotes that you would like to share with us? Oh! There are lots and lots of them. I can't really pick one and tell you. I made some good friends here. Roshan was my best friend and I will miss him a lot. I also got some of the best compliments here. I've been called a sweet and affectionate person. Is there anyone you are rooting for? I hope and pray the good singers make it all the way to the top and are not vote out prematurely. I hope Rajdeep, Bhavya and Roshan make it. Do you think talent counts on Indian Idol? After seeing the eliminations so far, I don't know if talent counts at all. I think a good personality is what people are looking for, not talent. What are your plans now? I will go back home and start working on my new programmes. I will do shows and I know my experience in Indian Idol will give me a new edge. The recognition I've got here will help me in my career. Will you come back for the Wild Card?

Some very good singers have been eliminated. I don't know if I will be called for the Wild Card round. I hope I will be called. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

This is what Saurabh said and he was very honest and frank...yes from what we have seen in the earlier Indian idol sandeep and prashant did not have that talent whcih shld have made them Indian idol.....so do not lose heart saurabh ..i think you gave a class performance and javed 's comments are useless...what does he mean old fashioned song......rajdeep sang laaga chunari mein daag..how old fashioned is that....with due respect to raj's talent and humility..i am saying this.......keep it up saurabh ..u deserve to go to top 5.
